Kitteh, could you please post the recipes for the Caramel Mudcake and the Bounty Cake because they look and sound delicious!! Thank you xx
Blackadder: Baldrick, have you no idea what irony is?
Baldrick: Yes, it's like goldy and bronzy only it's made out of iron.
Good on you Kitteh for doing these bake sales and raising so much money for the animals!
Kitteh, you guys SERIOUSLY outdo yourselves with these bake sales! Hooray for the donkeys!

yum! did you use the black salt? I haven't been able to find it, but love the idea of adding the sulfur-like flavor to "egg" dishes. With the chickpea flour does it have more of a pancake texture?

I read about black salt on another forum, I haven't seen it yet though.

What a lovely way to present your food Kitteh. I saw some trays and little dishes in a shop the other day. I might start doing that with my meals.
as I already wrote on your blog comments, how come I never realised all these awesome recipes in Vegan Planet? Will take my copy back with me next time I visit the family.
Today's perfect, simplistic breakfast, to get me into bento mood:
is that toast? or some kind of patty?

it's fake chicken breast, pretty addictive stuff.
Noodles, sweet sesame tofu, and a vegetable... thing. (spinach, bok choy, zucchini, onion, oyster mushroom, and thai eggplant)
Most delicious thing I've had in a while.
The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you're uncool.
Here are a few things I have made semi-recently:
Potato and pumpkin curry over brown rice (skinny bitch) with Indian spiced green beans (vegan fire and spice)
Pad Thai (vwav)
Creole Stuffed Peppers, hot sauce glazed tempeh, messy rice (v-con)
tabbouleh-bouleh
yum. the pad thai esp.

fondducoeur, that all looks amazing! Especially the pad thai, I want it.
spicy sauteed squash, creamed corn & whole wheat biscuits with black-eyed pea gravy
sandwich (smoky maple-glazed tempeh, lettuce, tomato, rice cheese slice, avocado, red onion jam & spicy mustard) on sprouted wheat toast, buffalo chips
gazpacho & cheddar-rosemary beer bread
grilled cheese with tomato & pickle on multigrain bread, baked beet chips, broccoli & cucumber with goddess dressing
veganhomemade.wordpress.com
poached fig salad with faux feta, pistachios, port reduction and pumpkin seed-herb crackers
stir-fried veggies & teriyaki quinoa
veganhomemade.wordpress.com
everything looks delicious! Are those the Food Should Taste Good chips? (I think that's the brand.) I love all of their stuff! but I would have to eat them with the gazpacho. That cheddar beer bread looks crave-worthy.

Thanks BC, it was fun to take a little of each ingredient and fill a leaf with it.
I do the same thing, I have cookbooks on my shelf that I have hardly used and then suddenly I realise there are all the recipes I could have been making! Also, your breakfast looks delicious, esp. all that avocado!
PaintedXSkyline - that sesame tofu looks so so good!
JBR - I love the fig salad, I really need to try making some faux-fetta.
I went to a cupcake decorating course and I made some kittehs, flowers and butterflies

Ruby - They ARE Food Should Taste Good chips, buffalo flavor. They weren't very buffalo-ey, but they were still fantastic! I love that you can eat their chips and not feel like a grease fest.
Kitteh - I'm sure I already told you on your blog or the ppk that your cupcakes are amazing, but - they're amazing! Awesome job! Great looking other foods too, and cute kittehs. Did you come up with the polenta scramble, or is it a recipe from somewhere? It's a really neat idea.
BlackCats - Your meal looks really good, but I especially love the polka dot platter

Mmmm soup
I'm glad you're happy! I have been trying to get some good photos of them but they seem to know I'm trying and they move or look away! And thank you
Also, your black bean soup looks fantastic, I love how you served it too!
With a knife and fork And thanks!
Thanks CB
JBR - I just came up with the polenta recipe after realising the left over creamy polenta had an almost eggy texture!

I made tofu and spinach enchiladas the other day. I didn't have any soya cheese so I just sprinkled nutritional yeast over them and had them with some soya yoghurt. I don't know if they look nice in the photo but they tasted lovely:
I made Stuffed butternut squash
I just replaced the butter with vegan margarine and added a couple of apples too.
Roasted the other half of the squash with sweet potatoes and made soup:
I'm actually going to be making my first vegan cake or biscuits this week so I will have to take photos of that special event!
Looks delicious BlackCats, thanks for sharing and good luck with the biscuits.
I want an enchilda!
