I'm telling you, we're going pizza crazy.
Aprhodite, I'm naming your pizza the Salad Bar Pizza, because the whole rings of green pepper remind me of a salad bar. In a good way.

we went to Jax Vegan Cafe for lunch yesterday. Split a cookie shake (yum).
I had the spinach soy chicken wrap with smoked pasta salad.
It was disappointing to look at, but as I ate it the heat from the grilled tortilla withered the spinach a bit and mixed with the teese (yes, teese! didn't know we even had that round here) and was quite tasty. kind of expensive ($8-9) was nothing but tortilla, spinach and teese... no tomato or red onion or anything. filled me up nonetheless. The roommate got the mushroom melt with side salad and ranch. Also tasty.

That looks yummy Ruby. What is in ranch dressing exactly?
(I am going to a vegan restaurant at the weekend so will take my trusty camera and take a photo for you all to see.)
Tell Jax to move over here!
ha! u can have them. i'll keep the rest.
They were watching me all suspicious-like while i was taking the pics. i bet they thought i was writing a review or something.
i'm not sure whats in vegan ranch. i know jambox makes it though (hint hint jambo )
looked like veganaise with dill in it to me, but tasted like ranch.

Looks good Ruby. Your roomie must really fancy their Open Your Eyes shirt, at least for dining out.
haha, i know! we were laughing about that.
He does have more than one shirt.

Trying to be more healthy. Big salad for dinner - yellow pepper, carrots, courgette, cuc, toms and raisins with lemon juice, garlic and olive oil dressing.
is that the mushroom melt in the second pic ruby? looks yummy
i was trying to eat healthy too aphro... then went and got a bunch of heavy indian food, with bread, samosa and fried popadoms for lunch... oh well. tomorrows a new day. (all the grease makes me queasy)
yes, the bottom pic was the mushroom melt. it had slices of 'mushroom protein' whatever that is, with mushrooms and melted teese on top.

Unadulterated nutrients? Sounds hot.
The ranch recipe I use is here: http://veganforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7308. It's the third post in the thread, by ConsciousCuisine. I left the green onions out on accident last time I made it (had 'em in the fridge and everything) and it was still great.

Could someone tell me what gyoza is? I'm a bit simple!
they're sort of the Japanese wontons... potstickers with a filling (can be veggie or meat or a mix).
Wow, gyoza looks delish Tigerlily.

I'm afraid carrot, walnut and raisin is not really my piece of cake but look at the creamy strawberries!
(The strawberries and cream look lush CW.)
I ate at Maoz in London today. I couldn't afford the restaurant I wanted to go to originally at the moment but it was really lovely there and very reasonable
