Stirfry with noodles
Savoycabbage with cocoonutmilk, rice and fried tofu
wow they are huge sorry
Don't apologise, it looks lovely.
I guess this one goes under fast food since it only takes 10 minutes to make
Pasta, boiled with broccoli, along with falafel fried in oil - then add some soya cream, tomato purée, garleek pepper and oregano to make a thick sauce in the frying pan. The sauce is just over-delicious.
Looks yum! I would never thought of putting falafel with pasta for some reason but it looks lovely.
I love soya cream as well, I only recently discovered it.
mmm looks good I just love broccoli... The sauce did you make it in the pan with the falafel
(Godt at se en anden Skandinavier herinde)
I think the typical way is to stick it in the oven for an hour, but for time's sake I microwaved it.
- halve and deseed the squash
- put both halves cut side up in a baking dish, add some water in the bottom and cover with plastic wrap
- microwave 10-12 minutes
- let cool for at least 5 minutes
- scrape out the insides with a fork, it'll come out in strands
Stine, your tofus look delicious. Did you buy them in chunks or cut em and cook em yourself?
I just ate lunch but now I am hungry again! All of the food on here is to die for!!!!!!
wings are for flying not frying
i miss tofu it's just so darn expensive.
Someone buy me tofu!
tofu is expensive????
its typically $1-1.50 for 16 oz here... although we buy the 3 pack of 19 oz containers for $3 at a warehouse store.

Thanks...The tofu in the stirfry is just plain tofu i cubed and fried with some vegetarian oystersauce or soy sauce cant quite remember it.. The tofu with the savoy cabbage was marinated tofu that i cubed and frien on an non stick pan with a litte oil for like 15 minutes... very crisp...
Here you can't buy cubed tofu you hav to do the work yourself And its just half a year ago since they started selling marinated tofu where i live
Yeah! First I fry the falafel until it's done, then I add soya cream, the tomato and the spices, in the pan along with the falafel. I steer it somewhat. The falafel take up part of the sauce. I leave the sauce in the pan for about a minute or two - just to make it a bit thicker. Voila! Ready to serve!
It is tasty! You should try it!Jamila
dinner a couple nights ago, sweet & sour mock duck, veggies & pineapple. the dimples on the "duck" kinda freaked me out, and by the third time I ate it I picked it out.

blimey that's cheap! Here it varies. It's £1.39 ($2.75) for cauldron tofu (250g, about 9 oz) from the supermarket. But that stuff is bleh... You can get better stuff from the chinese supermarket (about £1.10/$2.20 for 600g/20-21oz), but that requires paying for the train into the city centre. I got some organic firm 'clear spot' tofu from the whole foods shop yesterday. That cost £2.50ish ($5) for 450g/16oz. Everything's more expensive here though! hence why I'm looking forward to my holiday in New York - the exchange rate is explicitly in my favour!
jamboxrock...you do make the best food...
"anything goes" Vapiano-style pasta sauce with fussili:
Indian eggplant curry... doesn't photograph well, but is the best ever:

Dinner at Mildreds in London on Fri night
Mushroom and ale pie - so rich and nice!
Tofu coconut curry -
i want that curry right now!
My friend had that and it was really good here is what it was:
malaysian coconut curry with red pepper, carrot, green beans and fluffy tofu garnished with lime, beansprouts and fresh tomato served with wheat noodles
That mushroom and ale pie looks lovely. It's just what I would want now with this cold, drizzly English weather.
yum

Ok now you have to bare in mind that yesterday was the last day of me not having money. All I had in the cupboards litteraly was flour, salt, baking powder, golden syrup, almond milk, half a tin of baked beans, a spicey bean burger at the back of the freezer, ketchup, bbq sauce and pure butter. So I threw it all together and got pancakes with baked beans and half a burger dipped in ketchup and bbq sauce with abit of butter for the left over pancake to dip in more ketchup lol. Now I promise you now there will be more interesting food to come...CUZ I GOT PAID TODAY MUHAHAHAHAHA!
