I can't figure out what it is
Well it was abit naughty but hey when you are starving and there is no food left...pancakes will suffice ! Anyway wasn't that what pancakes were invented for? To use up all the old crap before lent or something?

Emzy - that looks really delicious.
That's exactly what I was thinking, aphrodite. Perhaps we'd all make such deliciously cheap stuff if we let our cupboards run dry...
P.S. yaaay for pay day! we hope to see the fruits of your labour.
Haha, reminds me of the breakfast in Peewee's Big Adventure. Awesome.
Oh my. I'll never figure how people can eat that much for breakfast.
Then again, most people wouldn't believe how much I can eat in the evenings...
Great picture, though.
Some apple and sultana muffins I made the other day. I know they were damn good because Jo ate 3 of them - and she has a thing against fruit in cakes.
We had pizza for dinner today. They had carrot, onions, garlic, tomato as well as:
Cheatin' chicken for Jo:
and Cheatin' chorizo chunks for me:
twas yum.
oh yeah in the second picture there is a calzone I made with the leftover dough, sauce, and chicken. That'll be lunch tomorrow.
I've never really mastered the art of making cakes...vegan or not....but looks soo scrummy I'm like touching the screen willing it to appear on my desk at work.
As for Calzone....if they had a smiley with it's tongue hanging out and dribble everywhere I would use it. I haven't had one of those in ages! ( time to get cooking me thinks!)
Anyway this is what I made for my lunch today at work, complete with red storage tub. Took about 10minutes when I was half asleep at 4:30am!
It's rice noodles with mushrooms, a green pepper, onions, pumkins seeds, walnuts, sunflower seeds and soy sauce!
Don't know what it's gonna taste like yet but we will see at 13:00 when I go for lunch!

mmm mmm mmm.
Here's last nights dinner:
Field Mushrooms stuffed with yellow & orange peppers, jumbo oats, fresh basil, spring onions, Tamari soya sauce, & lime juice.
Baguette spread with olive oil and crushed garlic, baked and topped with beefsteak tomatoes & fresh basil and more olive oil, that's been warmed in the oven and home made oven chips which were a touch oily (!) but still delicious. My omni husband enjoyed it - his was gone when mine was half way through so I was very happy!

LOL that reminds me of that Martini commercial with George Clooney...
"Hi Bryzee... what, no muffins? No party..." *slams door shut*
*bryzee standing on the other side looking like an orphaned puppy*
That tomato baguette thing looks bloody lovely Sandy.
haha well there are plenty of muffins to go around. They're in the oven now:
If you come to pogo tomorrow you can have one
*books a flight*
i'll meet you at gatwick.
done muffins:
one in all its glory:
one in half - they're packed with raspberries!
and a random dinner this evening - french toast with bananas and agave:
Looks totally yummy.
Those raspberry muffins look unbelievably good bryzee
Please would you post the recipe
Mine always turn out flat, more like scones
my mouth is watering. where the heck is the bf? i'm hungry!
Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
I LOVE french toast, i want it eeeevry morning! how unhealthy would that be?!
Not too unhealthy, considering that you prolly eat healthier than most other people, anyway.
I'm a total french toast virgin, should try it already...
Bryzee: I am only about 30 minutes away from Pogo (not that I've ever been ) from where I am sitting right now ( at my desk at work!) but unfortunately I don't finish work until 10pm....I'll pick Pavotrouge up from Luton airport and we'll drive down and mug you on my lunch break!
BRYZEE WE NEED A RECIPE! I haven't had a muffin since I was vegan! (well one that didn't taste like raw tofu anyway )

Lots of muffin/cake recipes here. Just remember to add sugar

I could have sworn I posted a recipe last night... aw bugger.
It's in "How it all Vegan"...I can't be arsed typing it out again.
maybe I'll scan the page in later.
P.S. Mr F, are you trying to insinuate my muffins aren't sweet enough?

hum, is it out to shape burger patties with your hands now?
1/2 of today's Sunday cooking marathon:
vanapple cake ^_^
plain pasta e fagioli
nah but it makes it so much easier to batch cook, get everything evenly shaped and even out cooking times with a burger press.
I saw one at a shop near my college which was much simpler than that gadget. Cheaper too. Might have a gander and get one - see what comes of it.
(similar to this:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microwise-Ts...4200664&sr=8-1 ; but cheaper. Like 1/2 price.)
I used the same 2 waxed discs for all the burgers tonight, worked fine they give you 50 discs to use will last me ages - dont think you atcually need to use them, not sure!
It seems a very easy item to use ,Lakeland are a big company but are quite good on their things like recycling policy and do seem to sell several eco minded products.
I do like shaping burgers by hand, its fun but this method is good too ,reckon that press will last a lifetime!
Burgers tasted nice too i need more recipes now so off to read my cookbooks and photocopied /scribbled recipes!
No - I was referring to the recipes from Cherry's site. She left out half the sugar from the muffins she made for the halloween party last weekend, as the result of a miscommunication (I was recalling the recipe whilst fixing decking). They did work and were edible, but would have been better with the right amount of sugar.
"Mr Flibble - forum corruptor of innocents!!" - Hemlock
Me: Shall I finish your muffins for you?
Mr F: I've already weighed out half the sugar
Me: Just give me the whole amount and I'll weigh it again.
Mr F: OK
Me: Are you SURE that's the right amount of sugar?
Mr F: Yes
Me: (Dictates whole recipe just to check)
Mr F: Yes, that's right
Me: These muffins don't taste sweet enough!
Mr F: You did use the sugar in the bowl as well, didn't you!?
Me: D'oh.
The moral of that story - never trust someone who is laying decking.
Or: never trust someone who chooses to lay decking...
sorry...
probably the best thing i have eaten in a really long time.
tofu &&mushrooms.
:]
yummm.
The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you're uncool.
just had spag bol with that vegan parmesan stuff on top. yummers.
got a malt loaf in the oven now.
yay for spag bol!
and I love that beautiful plate of tofu and mushrooms... but isn't it a bit dry on its own?
