They look fab, were they difficult to make? Did you need a sugar thermometer?Vegan Butterscotch Truffles
Idleness is not doing nothing. Idleness is being free to do anything. - Floyd Dell
No actually, they are SO unbelievably easy!
I don't quite remember the proportions from the recipe, but all you do is melt your chocolate over the stove, heat up the soy milk, add into the melted chocolate and flavor with whatever you like. I used butterscotch liquer. Then let refrigerate overnight, shape in the morning and roll in cocoa powder!
You can even eyeball the milk amount. The consistency of the melted chocolate will take on a fluffier sort of effect as you add, the difference is noticeable. I made them twice, so I can say from experience, for softer, melt-in-your-mouth(/hands) truffles, add a bit more milk, and for slightly more firm, add less. That's really all there was to it! I was so proud of myself, haha. Truffles? Me?!

My mum-in-law made me a birthday cake. It was amazing!! First time I've had a birthday cake in years, and it was well worth the wait!
Wow, that cake looks great.
All the food on here looks yummy as usual.
Details snowy! What kind of cake is it and what's the filling?
Last year was my first vegan birthday so I didn't get a cake because no one knew about making them. It's coming again in a couple and I'm having cake if I have to make it myself!

I know, I used to get so upset that no one could even buy one for me cus they didnt know where to go! I hope you get one for your birthday People think it's hard to make a vegan cake, but it's really not! It was my first since turning vegan, which was 3-4 years ago, but the cake this year did make up for it.
I think she got the recipe online, but it was a vanilla sponge cake I think, and the filling was jam and 'butter'-icing.
