I see what you're getting to, pavotrouge. You want to marry her for free food, right?
(why didn't I think of that?)
I see what you're getting to, pavotrouge. You want to marry her for free food, right?
(why didn't I think of that?)
is there any other reason to marry a person than for food?
(why is my best friend with the Indian catering bloke then?!)
Awwww, thanks guys I have though about cooking for a living, although I doubt I could ever be a "chef". I'm much better at cooking other people's recipes, not so good at making up my own.
And Pavotrouge, yes! Where's my diamond ring?
Wowowow Jamboxrock, amazing-looking food! and so much. I envy the people who got to eat that...
@ Sandy: I didn't make any of these dishes. My food usually doesn't look that pretty The first one is taken at a Chinese restaurant that makes very good vegan food, the second one is falafel made by my father, the third and fourth photos are at a vegetarian restaurant that always make really pretty food (well, I always think so) and the last one was the breakfast at a veg*an B&B in Crete.
I want that breakfast!

Looks yuuuuummy!

Is that an industrial kitchen? Crazy.
Today I made sparkled ginger cookies, my first time.
Creamy Chickpea & Tahini Casserole. So simple, yet so good.
Plated with steamed cauliflower & lemon.
A salad that came to work with me, with bacos & balsamic vinaigrette on the side. This was seriously good. Baby greens, celery, shredded carrot, chopped green apple, peas, bleu scheese, walnuts & pecans.
I work and live within a community/co op. Part of my time is spent as a cook - so yeah, industrial kitchen. I cook in our room/flat alot of the time using an electric wok and then use our floor's kitchen oven. I'm amazed at the endless things you can do with a wok. hahah
I cooked a stuffed aubergine last night and although it tasted really really good....it looked rubbish! Yum to every one elses creations!

I agree, that salad looks yummy.
I never think to make nice salads like that. Mine are always really crap.
Take some wheat flour, some olive oil and some water and mix it until it's good and firm. Add some yeast riser as well. Once you've done this, divide the dough up into balls (a bit smaller then a fist will do ) and flatten them out as best as you can without ripping the dough. Sprinkle a bit of garlic powder and then put whatever veggies you want onto one half of the dough (i used jalepenos, mushrooms, green and red bell peppers and purple onions). Once you've done this, fold the other half of the dough over and pinch the ends together until the openings are gone. Bake for 20 minutes on 400.
Tonight's dinner was pretty basic. I stirfryed a bunch of veggies in soy sauce and pineapple juice (mushrooms, peppers, onions, apples, cucumbers, pineapples, etc) and put it over brown rice. I'm quite happy with it and it tasted wonderful
There are feets on your table!
I like the look of that stir-fry.
Everyone's food looks awesome!
Here's what I had tonight. Syrian pumpkin patties and an organic salad:
mmmh pumpkin patties... what's so Syrian about this, though?
you guys remind me I need to get some proper cooking done... two more exams...
perhaps it's the spices that's used in the recipe? I'm not really sure. I got the recipe from the internet.
Here's the chocolate chip rice cream sandwich I rustled up earlier. It was WELL NICE!!!!!!
YUM!:
and here's the cake I made the other day:
It was vanilla sponge covered in melted montezumas choccy and coconut. Yum. Should have taken one of a slice...

KrissStress your food always looks soooo nice!
Emzy there'd be no point kidnapping me, I only ever eat the food, i never make it! haha
thank you!
honestly I look at all of the other people's food in this thread and it makes me so jealous that I get inspired by it - I'm all "what can I do to top this thing or that thing?" - though I still never actually top anything since everything else in this thread looks 10 times better. hahah!
if we're ever over in London (which has been a lifelong dream), we'll make some stuff for you
tonight was pizza...I let the dough sit all day and I think it made quite the difference too!
obviously I made it for more then me. It ended up feeding nearly a dozen people
That looks sooooooo yummy and I wouldn't blame you if you did eat the whole lot to yourself hehehe!
I attempted enchiladas last night and although yummy when it came out of the dish it all fell apart and was this big slop lol...so no pics for you guys! (Need to make something nice soon lol!)

That pizza looks amazing.
I wouldn't mind finishing one like that myself, either.
That pizza looks fantastic, Kriss. I should have photo'd my spaghetti and meatballs last night. It looks so good. Tasted...okay... not brilliant, but at least it looked fantastic!
thanks so much guys. I really enjoyed making it. The dough was a bit deep dish for me though, I prefer cracker thin pizza crust myself - but this was one of my first attempts at making such a big pizza as well
Heres a picture of the best ever nutroast.. with mashed potatoes and gravy yum (sorry my pictures are a bit yellowish at the moment cause there is something wrongh with my camera)
