    Default Alternative to lemsip?

I've had a search and can't find a post about this. What's a good alternative for lemsip? I used to live off the stuff because I always have a cold, but it's not in my vegan sourcebook as safe, and I've been told it's taken over by GSK...

I make my own hot citrus drinks.

    Ingredients
    • One lemon
    • One lime
    • Freshly grated ginger
    • Golden syrup
    • Boiling water
    Method
    • Extract juice from citrus fruits into cup
    • Add grated ginger
    • Add syrup
    • Add boiling water
When I had a cold as a kid my Mum would make something like the above but use honey instead of syrup. I drink these quite a bit whether I've got a cold or not as it's a tasty hot drink that makes a change from coffee.

I think Lemsip has caffeine in so you may want to add a ground up caffeine pill or something.
