Sainsbury's Linda McC sausages are 94p a pack at the moment

in my Tesco they are £1. Stocked up today.
Alpro Yogurts at ASDA are 2 X 4 packs for £2 (so 25p each!) at the mo.
are you using a high enough wattage bulb?
to replace a 100watt bulb you need a 20 watt cfl.
to light my front room I use 4x11watt cfls in lamps
a 15 watt in an up lighter and if I want more then I turn on the big lights
2x20 watt cfls
That's 99 watts where I would have been using 420. And I get more light from it.
I got a load of good qality 20 watt ones from tesco for 10p each a few weeks ago. Waitrose have them in at £1 and by one get one free

I don't know if any of you are familiar with approvedfood.co.uk, but its a website by a wholesaler, that uses this website to sell food thats mostly past their BB date, so you can get good deals.
At the moment they have sosmix! BBE April 09, but its dried so I suspect it will be fine for much longer. Only 59 in stock, so if you are interested buy soon!
They have other suitable things as well, but I thought this might be the one of most interest, seeing as its not available any more.
Took a look at approvedfoods.com but I wasn't happy with spending so much on delivery for so little that I wanted, so didn't go ahead with the sos mix. Thanks for the link though will keep an eye on it.
Co-op at the minute have x2 washing up liquids for £1 and 2 for 1 on shower gel (the nicer stuff) for £1.30
Get stocked up! Vegan and animal friendly whaaaayyyyy!

On Friday 10 July [that's tomorrow], Green Britain Day, Southern will be offering a wide range of Southern Advance single tickets at a staggering 90% discount, compared to the normal 40% currently available when tickets are booked online in advance of travel. This means that some tickets to London can be bought for as little as 50p! Tickets can be bought on-line on the day only for travel up to three months ahead.

Nice, hopefully should be good for the Brighton meetup, you still get railcard discounts too!
"I don't want to live on this planet any more" - Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth
ooh brilliant. Must book my tickets tomorrow then (possibly with additional ones for just in case I change which days I'll be there)
If I sink to the bottom I can run to the shore.
Can you not just do an open return bradders? I've just checked Darwen to Brighton return for x3 people September 10 returning on the 14th first class just under £1400!! Standard class £945!?! If we go off peak every train journey this equates to £240. Will it be cheaper to check tomorrow?
probably specific trains only.
I am the master of cheap fares though so will be checking very early in the morning.
(try booking from manchester to brighton rather than daren, may be a lot cheaper for several reasons) also try splitting the journy darwen-manchester-watford/milton keynes-(clapham-brighton)/(brighton) this can save hundreds of pounds and tomorrow you could save 90% on the milton keynes-brighton portion anyway
If I sink to the bottom I can run to the shore.
Might be worth checking just after midnight tonight.

yep that indeed is the plan

Oooh, this is really good to know about. I might try to pack in a quick UK tour at the end of this month if it works out cheap enough.
EDIT: Oh, I got excited too soon. This is only Southern Railway; I should have noticed that before thinking I could get a cheap UK tour with this deal.
"cake is a good tool for the revolution!!!" - saycheezly
They do go from Brighton though Matt so it could help a bit.
I just booked a few tickets to Brighton. I hadn't realised there is a limit of 2 bookings per person so I got my o/h to book the other two trips I wanted. Two of the return trips cost £1, the other two were £1.25 and £2.50 (for the one next week) - bargain!
(Tried to book a return for Sunday 30/8 for Gorilla's birthday weekend. There were outgoing cheap fares but nothing for coming back cheap on the Sunday or Monday and I can't really til the Tuesday to be able to come back cheaply as I'll only just have come back from holiday and I can't abandon my o/h straight away in a house full of dirty washing. empty of food etc! If I feel up to it I might still get a normal priced day return or drive down for the day.)

Rubbish, because we're not travelling from one of the major stations we make no savings whatsoever.
"I don't want to live on this planet any more" - Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth
Wouldn't it still be cheaper to get the bus or train to a 'main' station and then a cheap fare from there? (I'm travelling from a small station and changing trains at East Croydon.)
Idleness is not doing nothing. Idleness is being free to do anything. - Floyd Dell
Didn't realise that Croydon was one of the stations in the offer, I might manage a small saving after all, thanks Marrers.
"I don't want to live on this planet any more" - Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth
yep croydon, mk, watford and others are available
If I sink to the bottom I can run to the shore.
just bought saturday to tuesday as well
If I sink to the bottom I can run to the shore.
Well that took ages, managed in the end though to get tickets for £8.70 that would usually cost £24.60, bargain!
The websites a pain, only allowing you to do 2 orders a day. It's not like it even works, I just started a new account using Enchantress' name and it accepted it even though it was using my credit card.

Co-op (Leamington Spa, assumeably other stores too) currently have several household cleaning type products on 2 for 1, including dishwasher tablets (so 40 for under £3).
I'm extremely pleased to announce that their dishwasher tablets are as good as the Ecover ones - far better than the cr*p Clearspring gel stuff.

I just popped into the Co-op to get some dishwasher tablets but was charged normal price on the eco 5in1 ones, not 2 for 1. The normal 5in1 ones were on offer though.

Asda are knocking out (Ooh Missus!) Pure cheese slices for a quid, reduced from £1.69. I presume that means they are on their way out.
From Sutton, Surrey, (or Greater London when they want to fleece me for the Olympics)
maybe if they got rid of this travesty and replaced it with the glorious tofuti slices it would be a good thing

I popped into Morrisons a few days back and found they'd got Cauldron Tofu at half price for 54p a packet, so that's my freezer stocked up for a while
From Sutton, Surrey, (or Greater London when they want to fleece me for the Olympics)
i can't believe i didn't know about the co-op doughnuts! i've been stuffing them into me since i found out! wohoooooo!!
update RE morrisons tofu promo: i bought some tofu today and it was scanning at fullprice although on the shelf it clearly marked the promotion... so check when buying it, as for me they had to manually adjust it..
