I have a chocolate pudding recipe that looks really good but I haven't tried yet.
And I have a chocolate cake recipe that is awesome!! I couldn't describe with words how good it is.
Hey, what was up with the meat chunks or crumbles in that recipe you posted a while back?
I'll post in the recipe section.
Try dates - big gooey medjool dates. They are like sugary caramel balls from vegan heaven
MMM, yes. I like dates filled with almond butter or hemp seed butter or coconut and chopped nuts...
Hey Banana - I stuff mine with peanut butter.....mmmmm......even more gooey and gorgeous!
Mmmmm - guys you are making me drool!
Ewwwwwwww! I just cannot eat Dates atall, they are so sweet and they upset my tummy!!
I like Strawberries with Swedish Glace ice-cream, or a cake I make with Carrotts, Raisins, Walnuts and Lemon Juice (also of course, sugar, marg, w/meal flour and then either soya milk or egg-replacer).
I try not to make the cake too often, as I am the only one here who likes it, so I have to eat it all up!!
U serious? I am notorious for polishing off 1/2 kilo of medjool dates in one go!!! Yes they are very sweet and do give you a tummy ache - but they are worth the pain. Forget chocolate, forget cake, forget candy - just give me dates any day and I will be happy
Banana
DATES ARE ABSOLUTELY >>>IT<<<
I have a question a bit out of this thread - but your pm box is full.
What are sprouted chickpeas? are they raw and sprouted. Or sprouted and cooked?
Besides lately I fancy raw food. At least in my mind because I haven't tried that yet
How about some fancy raw sweets.

Scroll down for comments. That should give you a start. I've never made fudge before.
I jst take semi-sweet chocolate chips, melt in a double boiler (I actually just put tub-o-ware in a small pot of boiling water, and mix in vegan butter, sugar, and soy milk, then let set.
thanks

Tree Huggin Treats are awesome. I love the mango bars!
But someone had a fudge thread, and now I can't find it. I even forgot who the OP was.
I made some oatmeal raisin cookies today and they were so good my dad didnt even know the difference.
Dark chocolate
Shepherdboy Carob bars, and Vegan Winegums (can't remember the make, they are made with real organic fruit flavours, mmm).
These vegan choclates I found the other day...Tropical Source?
And chocolate cake!
For those of you who need reminding - DATES - not the pitted, dried out ones, but the big gooey fresh medjool dates . I also LOVE vegan sorbet from this place called Trampoline - the blood orange flavour is the best. And date and walnut cake (but I am allergic to nuts)
I have a few favourites, but one of the major ones would have to be vegan dark chocolate
vegan homemade chocolate chip cookies (mmm! i have to keep myself from baking them so that i dont eat them all!) and the rice crisp dark chocolate bars by tropical source

At the mo, its the Marzipan Bar. A plain chocolate coated bar made with luxury marzipan, high quality almonds and raw cane sugar from Lyme Regis Foods.
I'm so glad you mentioned that. I have one for snack today courtesy of cedarblue. She sent it as part of our vegan gift exchange . Little did she know that I would rent out my husband for good marzipan . And who could beat marzipan + dark chocolate, can't wait....gertvegan
today i had some "mrs crimble's dutch fruit loaf". anybody know this one? it was yummy. and the best part is... you buy it! so no fannying around in the kitchen for hours!
LOL Tofu - I am NOT a baker, but at the moment I really want some chocolate cake. But that would require me driving 45 minutes to buy a vegan one, so I CBF - I will have to stick to dates
Here in Canada I have discovered Laura's Vegan Chocolate Chunk Cookies. They are quite expensive and there are 6 to a tray. They sell them fresh (made here in Vancouver) and they are mmmm mmmmmm good!
Ingredients: organic spelt flour, belgian chocolate chunks, dates (oat-coated) - whatever that means, water, brown sugar, cold-pressed canola oil (no GMO's), molasses, oats, sesame seeds, coconut, cinamon, baking soda.
Ahhhh think I'll have to have one now
OMG - send me some now. Australia is in need of some good vegan junk (that is not soy based)
I would lol but can't because customs would seize them! Aussie customs are the most strict customs that I have come accross. I suppose that's good in a way, but it means you won't be able to try the Laura's Vegan Choc Chunk Cookies that have DATES in them

I usually eat fruit or raw desserts if I have a sweet craving.

Your Raw Ladddu are ready.
From Veggie Life magazine:
Makes 5 dozen
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. peanut butter
3/4 c. plain soy milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. unbleached white flour
2 T. ground flax seed
1 c. white chocolate chips
cooking spray or parchment paper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a nonstick cookie sheet or line with parchment.
In a large mixing bowl, by hand or with an electric mixer, cream together sugars and peanut butter. Mix in soy milk.
In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa and baking soda. Stir in flour and ground flax seed. Add dry mixture to sugar mixture, stirring to mix well. Stir in chocolate chips (Mixture will be somewhat crumbly. If it's too dry, work in 1 or 2 tablespoons of soy milk.)
Using a small scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto prepared sheet about 2inches apart. Flatten dough with fingertips and bake for 8 to 10 min., until done. Let cool for a few minutes on sheet, then remove to a rack and repeat with the remaining dough.

Arti, could I substitute the peanut butter with anything, coz I am reacting to nuts at the moment...
Oh, I don't know. Hmmm. Cream cheese? Something creamy, I would suspect, and fatty.
utopiankitchen.wordpress.com
LOL - I will find something....
The final results taste MUCH better than the dough!
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Turbinado Sugar
1/2 cup vegan butter/margarine, softened
1/4 cup molasses
1/3 cup mashed banana
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup soy flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup carob chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine sugar, margarine and molasses, stir until completely mixed.
Add banana and vanilla - blend well.
Add soy flour, baking soda and cinnamon, stirring until smooth.
Stir in oats and carob chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until dark golden brown (but not burned!)
Let cool on cookie sheet 1 minute, then remove.
New vegan here....
I miss pudding. Anyone got a recipe for a vegan pudding (can't figure out anything at all to make it work) or cinnamon rolls.
Any input is appreciated.
TIA

hi there
try having a search through the food/recipes section, you should find something you fancy making. it also contains some suggestions for various veggie/vegan websites for good recipes too.
welcome by the way!
mmmmm..i just found these - how many does this recipe make arti?
- er sorry just read the 5 dozen bit - wow thats loads
More like 2 or 3 dozen - it's been so long that I can't remember. I made these like two summers ago, it seems. It doesn't make 5; that's just what the recipe states.

My mums made these cookies for me and my brothers since we were little. Many of you have probably already had them, and they were very easy to vegeffy, so here ya go!
Spider Cookies
In one large bowl mix together:
6 tbsp of cocoa
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cuprs rolled oats
1 cup coconut
In a pot (not heated quite yet) put together:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup vegetable shortening (or vegan margaine)
1 tbsp vegan margarine
1/2 cup soy milk - regular, vanilla or chocolate!!! ( i prefer vanilla, it makes them more fudgy tasting...)
Mix the ingrediants in the pot over medium heat until everything i melted and it is brought to a boil.
Now, pour the melted yummy into the big bowl with the other ingrediants and mix it up good with a spoon. (becareful, its very hot!!!)
After its all mixed up drop spoonefuls onto waxed paper. Let them cool until they are firm, and then gorge!!!!
"You'd better take care of me lord, otherwise you're gonna have me on your hands" - Hunter S. Thompson
Sounds scrummy! Judging by your pic you must have a high metabolic rate or lots of brothers who guzzle biscuits rapidly!
