Default A few easy recipes i found

I havent tried any of these yet but they are simple and sound tasty.

    Apple and marzipan crumble

1 Ib cooking apples cored and sliced
    4 oz light muscovado sugar
    2 oz marg
    5oz muesli
    2 oz grated marzipan

1, Pre heat oven 190oc/gas mark 5 and then put the apples into a baking dish with 4 tbsp of water and 3 oz of sugar. Bake for 20 mins. Meanwhile melt marg in a saucepan then remove from the heat. Mix in the muesli, the remaining suagr and grated marzipan. Remove the baking dish from the oven and sprinkle the topping over the hot apples in a thick and even layer.
2, Bake for a further 15-20 mins until topping is crunchy and golden.

Cheezly (or other vegan cheese) and roasted leek tart

    375g ready-made puff pastry
4 baby leeks, well washed and ends trimmed
    2 tbsp white wine vinegar
    1 brown sugar
    1 1/4 oz marg
    3 3/4 cheese

1, Pre heat oven to 200oc. Unroll pastry on a large baking sheet and score a 1/2 com rim around the edge. Prick the inside of the scored line with a folk. Bake for 15-20 mins or until the rim is puffed up and pastry is golden.
2, Cut leeks in half length-ways. Seperate the leaves on an oiled tray, sprinkle with brown sugar and vinegar, and dot with the marg. Roast for 5 mins or until crisp and golden.
3, fill the tart with the cheese and bake for 5 mins. Remove from the oven and top with the roasted leeks. Serve warm.

Thanks puffin - might try the leek one in particular as we're getting rather a lot of young leeks in our veg bag at the moment.

I like them, though they don't like me much

They will be with me - I might try the apple one as well, if I get to the ones in our garden before the snails do...
