Occupation of your local McDonalds for World Vegan Day - Peacefull sit in - During lunch time / busiest time order small fries pay in pennies or cents one at a time or pay with high value notes to strip them of change, offer free toy for kids to eat elsewhere, dress up in cow costume - 100% beef, dress up as Green Ronald Mc Donald, print carbon footprint IOU's for customers detailing how much extra carbon used in a beefburger vs vegan meal.

Cool useful downloads for World Vegan Day ammunition - good tips - thanks doc!

Miss the Typical vegan website from 2 years ago that was a great advert for veganism - a lot of effort from 100's of vegan people of all types, shapes, sizes, and ages from all around the world - shame it was trashed.

Is it not archived somewhere on a back up? could it not be resurrected?

leading non-animal medical research charity the Dr Hadwen Trust to call
for increased efforts to replace animal experiments in Europe. The
initiative, which involves a massive drive to collect public petition
signatures in all 88 of LUSH's stores nationwide, is timed to coincide
with the imminent revision of Europe's 20 year old law on animal
experiments (1). The mass petition was launched by the Dr Hadwen Trust
charity at the beginning of the year, with signatures being collected
across Europe in 11 languages, making it one of the biggest pan-European
petitions of its kind. LUSH stores in other EU member states are also
expected to take part in the campaign.

We are trying to prove the true key stumbling blocks for new vegans by showing caterers (if true/possible) they are turning business away.

We suspect wider availability of easy to find, tasty, good value for money, nutritious choice on menus and on snack shelves is holding people back from fully embracing a vegan lifestyle.

I dont think i can get to any local events as lot on here at home and such a rush after work, warehouse cafe in Brum is nearest and thats 18 miles away!

But am out with lovely vegan forum people on Sat for vegan lunch so that will be my vegan day celebrations

Last year was worcester for a meal at chesters pity thats not on again - cant get to other dos as too far away! Next year il organise something, been too busy at home this year.....

There's a picnic at Gympie, Qld, on Sunday for World Vegan Day. It's organised by a veggie group, but all asked to bring vegan food as well as a listing of the ingredients so that anyone can check if there's something they might be allergic to, or so they can make the dish at home for themselves. We meet in the park back of Mary Street, 11am.

i haven't done anything sadly..though i did try very hard to get two omni friends to eat vegan for the entire day (oooh,like that's hard). they've struggled and been vegetarian for the day..hmm..some other people sarcastically said 'borrrring!' still, i had a lovely stir fry for tea...
