    Default Taxidermy auction in Texas

There is a disgusting, deplorable, vile (I could go on for days) taxidermy auction being held in Ft. Worth Texas. I live pretty close to this area, and from the research I have done, it appears that NO steps to stop it or even protest it are being taken, and although I only found out about it today, I still feel that it is my responsibility to do SOMETHING.

    Here is the information:

Notice that they are selling murdered ELEPHANTS along with a array of other precious animals. ****ing sickening.

If you live in the DFW are of Texas and are interested in helping with a demonstration, CONTACT ME AS SOON AS YOU CAN!! This auction is being held TOMORROW!! Sorry for the late notice, but like I said, I just found out about it today. Also, I found out as it was being SUPPORTED in the Star Telegram newspaper.

If you do not live near the auction, as most, if not all, of you do, here is some contact information for letter writing, phone calling, emailing, etc:

    TAXIDERMIST:

    The Corner Shoppe
    5900 N. Lamar
    Austin Tx. 78752

    512-451-7633

Or you can email them from this link:http://www.taxidermyking.com/contact.lasso

And here is the information for the Star Telegram journalist who wrote the FRONT PAGE 'story' (aka advertisement) supporting the auction:

    Cris Vaughn 817-390-7547
    cvaughn@star-telegram.com

and here is the link to the article:

Please help me do something about this. It sickens me how nobody who lives here seems to care.

    Thanks for any help...

Default Re: Taxidermy auction in Texas

I will send them an email. I really can't see any justification for auctioning off taxidermied endangered species. Honestly, that's pretty low. And I'm kindof surprised that it's legal. It would make more sense to donate it to a museum or something like that. Things like this make me sad because I grew up in Texas and I really loved it, but it's definitely not a pro-veg state yet.
