Wonderful Idea! I just hope the book gets here before Christmas. It's only released today but I paid for 1st class delivery so it may come tomorrow or Saturday, or considering how off the postal service is at the moment it could come in June (we have had about 3 letters for people in different towns this week).

when you're interested in low-fat recipes, have you checked out Isa's "Appetite for reduction"?

^ That is quite possibly the ugliest avatar I have ever seen!

    What on earth is it?

Off topic, but have just checked out the Labyrinth movie, and it looks like something I need to watch!!!

Jim Henson and George Lucas, starring Sting ... wowzers!

I have to confess, I myself am possibly the world's best buyer of cookbooks ... but not necessarily anything like a user of cookbooks.

Wow .... just added a post shortly after making another one, and the forum automatically added my new entry as "updated" on the old one ... how cool is that? (Off topic again, I know).

It actually stars David Bowie - but that just makes it even more special!

Hello, so sorry to ask....but im trying to decipher which cookbook to get out of the plethora that exists on Amazon....can you help me!? I want a book with predominantly vegetable based low fat dishes and dont want half the book to be made up of breads, grains and smoothies! What kinds of dishes are in this and her previous book and do you have any others you might recommend?
Thanks so much for reading this,
    Nicolette

I've been having a think about this and I would recommend the Happy Herbivore books (possibly everyday over the standard book) and maybe Appetite for Reduction (they are particularly good as they list calorie content for the meals).
Both of them have breads or smoothies in but I think thats something very hard to get away from in cookbooks. I would also recommend checking the contents pages on Amazon look inside to give you an idea of the style of each book. I would definitely say that Appetite for Reduction would be the more challenging of the books.

There has also been a new Happy Herbivore book published called Happy Herbivore Abroad which is rather good.
