i would think that if it's deep fried its ready to eat...
oh and the READY TO EAT sign on it
Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
I thought that, but like... cold?
(I'm daft I know )
I would throw it in the over to heat it up (I don't think I could stomach cold tempeh) but other than that, yeah, it seems ready to eat.
sillyness... i'd eat it like jerkey. mmmm

You look very pretty peeking out behind your tempeh Melanie How did you prepare it in the end?
I sometimes buy that kind and we use it like bacon (if no-one minds me saying so!) except that it only really needs heating up, not cooking. It's good in a sandwich or a stir-fry with cabbage and (pre-cooked) potatoes.
auntierozzi; Thankies I ate a little bit cold but wasn't too struck on it
harpy; Oooh i'll try that!
id warm it (or not) and make a wonderful sandwich out of it.
try a tempeh lettuce and tomato. (TLT) with hummus or vegan mayo if you like.
thats my fav.

I've never known what to do with tempeh. I brought some uncooked from Canterbury Wholefoods a few months back and decided to fry it in a little oil and have it with a cooked breakfast. It was very chewy, dry and didn't taste of a lot. What is it anyway?
The taste of anything in my mouth for 5 seconds does not equate to the beauty and complexity of life.
It's fermented soya beans. You usually have to steam it in a little flavoured water for 10 mins before adding it to recipes.I make a deliciopus Tempeh Hash.
