I went into Boots to buy a bottle of water the other day and to my suprise I found a vegan premade sandwhich. Raw carrots, hummus and alfra sprouts on wholmeal bread. It was damn tasty!
Anywhere else doing vegan sandwhichs yet?

The taste of anything in my mouth for 5 seconds does not equate to the beauty and complexity of life.
They do another one with beetroot, and one with sprouts on as well. I think the brand is 'Fresh!' or something. They're handy when out and about and hungry.
Dunno about any others...
I think Crank's do a houmous and veg one. Oh yeah and Pret A Manger do a Houmous and veg one in some stores.
Cool that's good to know! I didn't think the beetroot one was vegan though???
One thing that did annoy me was that there was aload of crap on the side about how well they treat the animals that they later slaughter. Universal box me thinks.

Boots have been selling these for ages. there's a thread about them here: http://veganforum.com/forums/showthr...vegan+sandwich which was started in 2004
some branches of Sainsburys and Asda also sell the Fresh Organics range.
'The word gorilla was derived from the Greek word Gorillai (a "tribe of hairy women")'
I've seen the 'Fresh' brand in a Tesco Express in London, they have little boxes of salad and things in the fridge section too.
No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway.
they sell those 'fresh!' sarnies in my uni...fantastical lifesavers. especially since the other range seem to label somethings as vegan, some as veggie, and then things that look like they should be vegan as nothing at all, which makes me doubt their vegan-ability, even though there's nothing i can see in the ingredients. doh!
