Hello. I've only been a vegan since September, so I guess my mother still thinks she has some chance to deconvert me. (Not going to happen though.) She has come up with a clever way of guilt-tripping me though, so I could use some advice on how to counter it: Before I visit, she does a bunch of research and finds egg farms that are apparently very kind to the chickens (cage free, no force molt, ...) and buys them. I can't think of a really good reason not to eat those eggs, but I still don't want to (and have not done so); in the past I have just said that it's pointless to eat them because it's trivial to be a vegan at home (or at my parents' house). But I'd like better reasons. Can anyone help? Thanks!

have a search on the forums under eggs theres a couple of similar threads about, will have a look for you...

I don't think you need another reason not to eat them other than the fact that you don't want to. I have plenty of things I'd rather just completely avoid, and other people will always try to make me eat them but ultimately it's my choice. I think it's weird when people try to control your diet anyway. It's not like I'm trying to force people to eat their veggies
