    Default Scrummy healthy breakfast

    My current favourite breakfast is;

    Oats soaked in overnight soya milk with grated apple, cinnamon and raisins


    Then topped with dry All Bran, sliced banana, soya yoghurt raisins and mebe a splash of maple syrup.

    It keeps me going for hours and hours and tastes like it's really naughty, but it aint!

    Except for soya yoghurt raisins, where do you find those?

    ooh, i like this thread. i'm always on the lookout for something healthy for breakfast. the whole shredded wheat thing is starting to get boring. i once made up this really yummy granola, just by mixing oats, slivered almonds, cashew nuts, sunflower seeds (and any other seedy/nutty things you have lying around), then coating it in rapeseed oil and maple syrup, baking and adding raisons when it was done. it was the best. although it didn't last very long. and i'm not sure it really comes under the 'healthy' category...

    I know it's not too healthy but we used to do a vegan fry up every Sunday in a pub down the road and it was VERY popular ,jeez i miss it!

    Yep it is nice! I eat pretty much the same thing for breakfast every day except with dates instead of raisins, if you soak the dates with the oats overnight then it makes everything super sweet and really scrummy! Yummmm. And you're right- it does pretty much fill you up until lunch!

    Silly me, I was imagining a vegan version of those yoghurt covered ones you can buy! like carob coated raisins but you could eat them for breakkie mmm

    I used to make this all the time (not sure why i don't any more) and it is yum!

    Though I just eat mine as is in the morning, maybe with an extra splash of soya.
