Navy Sonar Program.

Ok so is this upseting anyone else?? Basically, Bush is letting the Navy use this high-powered sonar system in its training off California, and the extremely loud frequencies reverberating throughout the sea are very damaging to the marine life, particularity whales and dolphins i think it was, it damages their brain and ears. Not to mention whales and dolphins can't hear the echoes they use to comminucate and find food... I saw it on the news this morning, and footage of dolphins beaching themselves because of the noise, and being pulled out of the water dead with blood on their head .

Yes, the cruelty is astounding. But what do you expect from the millitary? They receive a fortune for projects like this as if were the year 1985 and there were a Soviet fleet ready to nuke us in a world war scenario. And then there is the vast pollution created by the war machine. Some of the most polluted sites in the US are millitary bases. And then there is the unexploded ordnance in the ground and the stockpiled chemical, nuclear, and biological weapons.

Few politicians show the initiative to go against the millitary since it has been a career-killer for some. Public outcry is the only option.
