That's great Cedar, thanks!!
I love the tags too, that will help a lot, sending me exactly where I want to go
Have you gone rw cedar? Wheres Jhonny by the way?
If i keep a green bough in my heart my singing bird will come.
Looks like an interesting site Cedar. Thanks
It's a great site, so many recipes.
Though I tried to make a variation on a tahini lemon dressing the other day and it didn't really work, oh well.
what's with the tahini thing - does anyone else have this issue. i think the amounts in some recipes (generally not just this site) are waaaay too much, it can completely overpower all other tastes and i always reduce the amount by at least half if not 3/4 - if i add it at all. it can make the whole thing taste bitter and 'murky'
Yeh I just mixed some w/ lemon juice and it made it thicker and really ruined my salad, won't be trying that again.
Mine had a bitter taste too, perhaps it's gone rancid.
They say that unhulled sesame seeds can have rather a bitter taste. Perhaps that's what was the main ingredient in your tahini? I wonder if you can buy a different type?
Yeh, it wasn't raw tahini, I'm not sure when I can buy that here, probably online.
But with non-raw there are always 2 jars, one hulled, one un-hulled. I'll check what I have. And I've used this brand a lot and never not liked it, perhaps it was the mixing w/ lemon or it's off.
How long have you had it?
Get hulled! And get an Arabic brand. They taste the best.
Peace, love, and happiness.
Biased! lol
