    Default Biccie recipe needed

I've got such a craving for biscuits. Reasonably healthy ones (but let's not get silly .. they need to be tasty and indulgent too!).

All the biscuits in France are so over the top ... creamy fillings here, icing toppings there.

I want something relatively plain but packed with flavour ... maybe an oaty based one that might have a nice texture.

Do you have a fave biccie recipe to share please. I hardly ever made them so don't have any favourite recipes.

    THANK YOU YOU WONDERFUL LOT

My sister always makes these for me and they are fantastic, with big chunks of chocolate mmmmmmm. I have yet to make them personally because I'm too lazy to bake, but I vouch for their taste.
20z Dark choc (cut into little chunks)
    1 round tsp ground ginger
    4oz S-R flour
    1/2 oz cocoa
    1 tsp bicrb soda
    2oz marg
    1 1/2 oz syrup

    Preheat oven 180c

    sift flour, cocoa, ginger, bicarb.
Rub in marg til fine breadcrumb
    Stir in sugar and choc
Mix in syrup with wodden spoon
    Squeeze mixture together with hands
    Divide into 16 balls
Allow space to spread, flatten each slightly
Cook in centre oven 15-20 mins until cracked
Cool few mins then transfer to wire rack

To make it healthier, you can use spelt flour or gluten free flour, if you add 2tsp of baking powder
You can also use part maple syrup or molasses syrup instead of regular syrup!

I like peanut butter cookies best...but they're not really healthy at all! I modified my chocolate chip cookie recipe once and used oats and raisins instead of chocolate chips, and that was nice, but they still had a lot of fat/sugar.
