I broke my wrist just before Christmas and am on the long haul to get mobility back in it. Does anyone know if it is possible to get vegan chondroitin and glucosamine, and if so where?

umm! I have read you can but can't remember where it was. type in key words and see what comes up - I think it was an online vitamin store. sorry not much help but I do know they exist!
I got some vegan glucosamine (in the UK) some years back so I imagine you still can. Sorry I can't recall the brand. I think I got it mail order - maybe from Veganstore?

Did you even try an internet search?

There is a discussion about vegan chondroitin here:- http://www.www.veganfitness.net/foru...db85351e417363 but it is several years old.
And this (also old) thread may also be of interest too http://www.veganfitness.net/forum/vi...664ea890a45cb1

Well yes I did Trouble is everything is taking me longer than usual with one hand, so I don't have a lot of time to go through everything. Athough I could find lots of vegan glucosamine I couldn't find any vegan chondroitin, and stuff I have read suggests they are more effective in combination.So...........I thought I would turn to my vegan friends here to see if anyone could help.
And it has worked. Thank you Marrers---your third link above is the only vegan combined glucosamine and chondroitin I have seen---- I failed to find it in my search.

Oh good. It was just the results from page one of a google search for me. ETA - But do double check that the third link is vegan - I wasn't sure but didn't have the time to check properly.

This is what I have been taking for several years. I have arthritis (I suspect) in my fingers and possibly my ankle. This supplement really works and has taken the pain away!

I use the Deva one too. I've been really pleased with it. I get much less joint pain when I remember to take it regularly, and I'm convinced it helped to heal a nagging shoulder injury that had been bugging me for a couple of years.
Couldn't find anything on that site to say the Viridian Chondroitin and glucosamine (Marrer's 3rd link) is vegan. Emailed them and no reply so have just had a look for the product elsewhere and it definitely isn't vegan. So it looks like I will have to give up the search for vegan chondroitin---will get that Deva glucosamine and MSM one recommended by Red wellies and Sluggie. Thanks guys

You can get vegan glucosamine - Natures Aid do a version. However, studies like the one above seem to demonstrate there's no benefit from taking it. Buy some nice vegan food with the money you might have spent on it.
