Have you found an effective suppliment for increased energy? Also has anyone come across a healthful substitute for white sugar? Not as in artificial sweeteners.

Go cold turkey on white sugar and caffeine. It'll feel awful for a while but once you're off it your natural energy levels will sort themselves out.
Eat unrefined sugars e.g. agave nectar, maple syrup etc. In the US you can get 'Stevia' which is a sugar substitute I think.
Plenty of fruit, veg, complex carbs (wholegrains so no white bread, pasta, go wholemeal/wholewheat etc) and you'll be fine
