It seems that my local Asda have finally started stocking the pure "cheese" slices!! I did a little joyful gasp/dance when I found them in there the other day and a fat 13 year old with a trolley full of crisps and cakes and her equally fat mother laughed at me
Anyway, to get to the point, I had high hopes for them but they are, in fact, horrible. They don't really taste or smell of anything. And they are too hard.
Epic fail on the cheese front, really.
Haha, I did the same joyful gasp when I noticed the Pure cheese spread in Tesco today....then seconds later spotted the Alpro spread! (Ijust went in for my Cheezly!

I think it was the Ricoh Tesco, if not it was definitely the Walsgrave one.

Ooops! Apologies for sticking this in the 'cheese' thread!!

Ah, the Ricoh one scares me.

We've been eating peanut butter warmed up with melted chocolate, alpro soya cream and a bit of golden syrup on ice cream recently. Haven't seen peanut butter with chocolate already in it before.

They used to do one with choc chips in it (same company) and it was sold at Tescos too. They do quite a few of the range.

I went into my local tesco the other day, and the "Free from" section had gone. Not sure if it's just moved, but i couldn't find it, grr.

mine too! I thought it was just me that couldn't find it.....found it pointless asking one of the teenage assistants that have never got a clue where anything is besides specialist foods. hmph gutted.

I didn't like the dark chocolate dreams one that much, or certainly not enough to justify the price. However, it was very nice stirred into some oats with mylk for a snack today.
