    Default A new vegan "cheese"

I just heard about this on a podcast. The hosts tried it in several recipes and really liked it. They claim it even melts. Here's the website in case anyone's interested in checking it out. I'm thinking about ordering it myself.

it melts because it is barely a solid to begin with. I don't like it, but everybody else does. tastes a lot like cheddar and American and cream and a hint of mozzarella. I prefer Follow Your Heart mozzarella.

Glad you posted your opinion as I haven't ordered it yet. I have not really taken a liking to any of the vegan cheeses including Follow your Heart. Perhaps I should just forget about cheese as I don't really miss it anymore.

The name is very funny. In Arabic, teese means "butt"!

I didn't like it that much either. It melts a bit better than Follow Your Heart, but is pretty much the same.

Is this available at all whole foods markets or only the ones in Chicago it lists on the site?

My mom bought me this "cheese" tonight. It's watery and salty.

Also, the packaging disgusts me. Reminds me of sausage. Why would they package it like that?! I'm guessing the name is to make it sound cutesy and appetizing.

Other than that I didn't mind a little bit of it on my veggie pizza. It's a little hard to melt. I could live with out it.

There's a Pizza Fusion near us, (a pizza place that has two different types of vegan pizza) and they use Follow Your Heart cheese. It's pretty good, although part of it could be how they cook it. We can't find it in any stores around here, and the cheese substitutes we've bought don't taste that good to me. They usually stink, literally.

Yup, I like FYH too. My favorite by far!
