I was looking at books on amazon and decided I can't make a decision. Anyone recommend any good books on raw food or detoxing or both? This can also include recipe books..

I'd second that - particularly if people have recommendations for recipes without a dehydrator.
The Raw Transformation had lots of tips on food and tools and plenty of delicious recipes, most I haven't even tried, yet http://www.amazon.com/Raw-Transforma...7735692&sr=8-1
I also liked The Raw Food Detox Diet http://www.amazon.com/Raw-Food-Detox...735617&sr=8-11 apart from the bits where she suggests eating animal products, had some good tips and a plan for starting on raw.
I'd suggest books from Frederic Patenaude - http://www.fredericpatenaude.com/. Although, I haven't bought any of his books yet, I've been subscribed to his e-mail list for several months. He's given me many useful informations about raw food, detox diets, health etc. And all of that for free. So, if you're planning on buying anything on the subject of raw food, I suggest you to pay a close attention to his web-site and books. His work in health movement is incredible!
I even found a way to gain a few pounds on mostly raw diet, which I wasn't able while consuming lots of cooked and processed food.
Argh! I can't find the link right now, but EmmaPresley (on this forum) recommended some books by Shazzie (?) for people looking at following a raw diet.
Emmmaaaaa! Where are youuuu?
Maybe you could message her and I'm sure she'll tell you what they were.
Hmm, well here's the link to Shazzie's website, some books are on the home page: http://www.shazzie.com/
i'd recommend the ani phyo raw food cookbook. it's on amazon.
there's something about shazzie's approach that i just don't get on with, don't know why.
the alysia cohen book is pretty big but quite pricey and she takes an 'all or nothing' approach which isn't my way right now.
there's also jess michael, don't know if she has a book but google her website.
the garden diet e-books are pretty good i've found - i use the recipes quite a lot.
Oh and Kristen's Raw : http://www.kristensraw.com/
