    Default What and where is malt?

    I'm making one of Cherry's cakes for my son's birthday on Sunday - can anyone tell where to buy malt in the UK and 'scuse terrible ignorance....what is it?

    My mum used to make us have a spoon of malt and a spoon of honey every day as a sort of supplement. It is sticky and sweet, quite nice tasting (consistency similar to treacle).

    I'm sure you can get jars of it in health food shops like H&B.

    Ignore all of the above, I'm an idiot - I'm confusing the recipe with another one I was looking at Senile moment!

    I'm still making the fudge cake though and I still need the malt for the menopause cake I'm making (for someone else).
