    Default Growing tomatoes - did you know...

    that she side shoots that you need to rub off on your plant can be allowed to grow on a bit (say 6cm), then you can cut them off and put them into a pot of compost and they will grow into tomato plants.

    Great if your germination rate hasn't been good, or if you've lost a lot of seedlings.

    What a good idea! You could clone your best producers this way.

    ah that is good to know. I have 2 tomato plants in my conservatory at the mo, and so far so good!
