    Thumbs up Sweet Potato Fries

This is a very yumy recipe that I eat all the time - can't get enough!

Cut your sweet potato into chip shapes you can peal or not - depending on personal preference, place them on a lightly oiled baking tray and sprinkle with chili flakes, cumin and paprika (about a teaspoon/two of each) It is also nice if you sprinkle a little natural sea salt over them.

Bake for bout 30-35 mins at 180.

    And you're done!

that's so funny because I'm sitting here eating sweet potato fries. They were from the freezer though. I've been crazing them none stop.

Mine were good, think I used a bit too much oil though as they turned out a little bit soggy and not very crunchy? They tasted good though!

Sounds great. Sweet, salty and spicy all at the same time!

I just cooked some sweet potatoes. Found an easy recipe online. Cut the sweet potatoes in one inch cubes, boil them for 8-10 minutes. Then toss them with some cinnamon, nutmeg, turbinado sugar, and olive oil and then bake for 10 minutes. Pretty darn good. Nice and easy vegan dessert. I think next time I'll try adding vanilla soymilk to the mix. And maybe I'll use half stevia and half turbinado sugar. Any ideas on what other ingredients would make this dish even more delectable?

I've had a similar recipe and we've had them several times. Relatively easy and quick, and of course very tasty!

Another great (and healthy) fry is baked squash fries. Peel an acorn squash, cut into 1/2 inch wedges or slices, place on olive-oiled or non-stick sprayed baking sheet, and bake at 425 for 35-40 minutes. Great flavor, closer to that of a regular french fry than a sweet potato fry.

It's a great way to avoid the nutrient-deficient french fries of today & not give them up.

I love sweet potato, so it's good to know others do too actually. I've not really met anyone else all that keen on it, my other half certainly isn't.

Mildreds in London offer sweet potato chip things as a side on their menu I think..

Yes. I had mine with ketchup. Anything that would normally be associated with french fries, I suppose.
