    Default Chocolate PB Banana Shake

Okay, I don't have exact measurements, but what I'm saying here makes about a large glass and a half of shakey goodness.

1 cup soy milk (vanilla, chocolate, plain, whatever.. I use plain)
    1 banana
    A spoonful of cocoa powder
    A capful of vanilla extract
A heaping tbsp of all-natural peanut butter
    And a bunch of ice

Toss soy milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, PB and ice into blender. Mash up banana and also throw into blender.

And then prepare for yummy goodness.

I make something similar all the time! It's sooo creamy and delicious and sweet without a need for sugar! Yum. I like to freeze my banana ahead of time. Then I don't need to add any ice. Tonight I'm going to make something similar but without PB and I think I'll throw in some unsweetened dried coconut. Mmm.

If you are lifting/building, then throw a scoop of protein powder in there, and it's even better!

I tried it this morning (with almond butter, due to a lack of peanut). Is a pleasent substitute for banana, but I think I prefer the plain, simple, lower fat version - bananas and soy milk.

i can't drink just a banana smoothie or shake. i like bananas, but in moderation...too much banana flavor makes me gag. i wish i could say i preferred the lower fat version... unfortunately the pb and coco make it for me.

Having drunk one at 8.30am this morning I didn't feel hungry again at all until 7pm this evening!

I'm not entirely sure what's going on here (normally I'm hungry again by 10), but perhaps it's the magical dieting product I've been searching for........

This sounds gooood! I've just started making simple banana/soya milk shakes a few weeks back, sometimes throwing in 3 dried apricots to up my fruit intake.

I just use one of those little hand blenders, but i guess if you're playing with ice cubes for this one, you need a proper blender which i'm probably too lazy to clean just for one shake. LOL.

I just made myself one of these for my breakfast but I didn't have any vanilla essence and I used two bananas. It was scrummy.

wildcat, i used a hand held blender too. the froz banana is easier to blend up than ice - let it thaw for about 15 mins.

Made this tonight but left out the peanut butter (can't get over this mental block that PB is for sandwiches not drinks!!)

Froze 2 bananas (pre sliced) instead of using ice, used 1/2 cap of vanilla and added a dash of maple syrup.

VERY yummy Thanks for the inspiration.

I was gonna freeze a banana for this yesterday but apparantly it says in our freezer manual you shouldn't chill bananas because they lose their nutrients. Other fruit is ok but it's something specific to 'nanas. Have no idea if this is true or not, but i just used normal room-temp banana as usual.

I just made a simple banana, PB, soya milk and ground flaxseed shake and it was yum!

PS - PB tastes so good in drinks!

EDIT - found this link about the bananas in the fridge dealio. apparantly it's fine. http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HT...question/2001/

Pogo cafe in London do something very similar to this only without the chocolate, it's delicious.
