Hi,
we have a couple of threads about vegan snacks already - and here's a poll about vegan snacks. The list (and sequence) is a bit random and preliminary still (the poll isn't open yet) - but did I forget something? Other comments?
Thanks!

Mmmm....I think the list is pretty complete. I would probably have salsa on there (on chips or anything else) but I'm sure everyone has something they would add.
tabbouleh-bouleh
Ill add salsa as a separate thing.
Then we'll add it!I'm sure everyone has something they would add.![]()
Seaweed peanut crackers!
TBH I think it's pretty futile to try and limit favourite vegan snacks down to a poll of 100, I like the premise but I don't think it's at all practical. Far too broad and varied a subject matter IMHO.

My favourite snack depends if I'm in a healthy mood or a pig-out mood![]()
The only normal people are the ones you don't know very well
It's 122 so far, but the main idea is to give our visitors an overview of what vegans eat without having to read long threads like eg. this one, containing 2-300 posts. I'm planning similar lists/polls for other food threads ('Vegan food you eat really often', 'List: Favourite vegan food') etc.
takeaway sarnies are a rip off lol
how about home made ones like cheatin ham or tofutti slices
edit: ok i'm blind... i swear i didn't see "Home made sandwich" right underneath take away ones when I posted this![]()
I hope no-one's going to vote for "nothing" - that won't make many converts![]()
or 'water'.
eta: a lot of those are more like meals or components of meals than snacks, yeah?
I'd clump the fruits together to just 'fruit', take out the 'home made' or 'take-away' versions and clump together, clump together all cookies/biscuits into 1 category, nut butters can be all clumped together, do the same for dips, soups, etc. yeah, the list is a mess right now!!
i'm the messiest organization freak ever.![]()
Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty.
Oat cakes (with nut butters/marmite/whatever).
Will we get more than one vote each? I mean, if it's down to one for me obviously it's going to be hummus - but I kind of see that as more of a staple than a snack!
soya yoghurt for me plz...
but leftovers will do it too![]()
I dont know if a drink is a snack ...? But I snack a lot on almond milk, dark chocolate and blueberry smoothie.
Sure....
If something can be used as a snack, we'll put it into the poll.I mean, if it's down to one for me obviously it's going to be hummus - but I kind of see that as more of a staple than a snack!
OK!
Consider the list 'work in progress'...
We may still mention several types of fruit/nuts etc., just to remind people about all the snacks that's available out there.
More comments are welcome!
can we put nakd bars on the list please? and popcorn and soya chocolate if they're not already there. thanks!
I totally forgot about this poll! Any more comments before we open it?
I will not eat anything that walks, swims, flies, runs, skips, hops or crawls.
Open it!
One of my hands-down favorite snacks is a handful of black seedless grapes. They're especially satisfying on a hot day when you need a quick snack. I usually wash up the entire bunch and put them in the fridge so they're ready to go when I have the craving.
Did I miss it or is fruit smoothie not on the list? I chose some others, but that is definitely my favorite. A bonus, although some places use dairy, you can find them many places without.![]()
I snack on the defeat of my enemies.
That and grapes, oranges, and seitan.
context is everything
What's "raw laver"?

I think it's a type of seaweed.

They make laverbread in Wales. It's not bread, but nasty goo.

Sorbet isn't on the list I see... I used to love a bowl of wild strawberry sorbet as an afternoon snack![]()

I picked a lot...
hummus, tahini, luna bars, baba ghanoush, falafel, guacamole, avocado...yum yum yum.
tabbouleh-bouleh
I chose mostly fruits... I normally consider hummas and falafal as part of a meal, rather than a snack.
raw veg...

leftover takeaway.
skewered mushrooms and the mustardgreen dumplings are now history
the only animal ingredient in my food is cat hair
my favourites are definitely dried/fresh fruit, cashew nuts, hazelnuts and almonds, carrot sticks with hummus or guacamole, cucumber and bell pepper sticks, and rye crackers heaped with nut butter!
I also love to drink tea <3
Yeah, pretty much everything on that list except the celery (-retch-). And I rarely eat rice cakes, don't care much for them. Some other things I don't get much but like a lot (like vegetable samosas).
my favorite snack would be something I still need to find lol. But I enjoy a lot things esp. pitas and burritos, I have a thing for salsa lol.
Apart from chocolate and cookies, I do love to snack on either homemade bread with avocado or crackers with avocado. And dates too.![]()
I hate it when I'm studying and a velociraptor throws bananas on me.
mmk datessss~~~~
my favourite ever vegan snack is the high energy trail mix from infinity foods, but i don't live in brighton any more so i make my own similar sort of thing in a little lunchbox. the ingredients are: sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, raisins, cranberries, goji berries and cocoa nibs. the only bad thing is that its quite expensive, the cocoa nibs cost £2 for a little bag in my local health food shop..
Tahini on toast!! yum. Bagels, nuts, provamel desserts and smoothies, to name but a few!![]()
Bombay Mix
Mixed Nuts - with or without raisins
Cup o' tea and a cookie (or three)
Crisps
Healthy kinda guy.![]()

My top top top snack doesn't seem to be on the list, but I am pretty addicted to instant noodles of any variety.
If I can't get instant ones, I will make up my own with dry noodles plus dry soya mince, peas and a stock cube or tamari.
Yum yum and double addicted yum.![]()
