Default stick a cashew on a banana

and take a bite. then another cashew on the new top, and bite again. repeat. do this around meat eaters. see if they don't want your cashew banana. hehe.

sometimes the simplest things are the best!

other nuts work too but omfsm, try making something with cashews and bananas!

I do this every morning, often with Walnuts, the combination of the sweet banana and the sometimes bitter walnut is just lovely ;o)

Mmm yum . Fruit + nuts = awesomeness. I love to eat bananas and apples spread with nut butters as well.

I guess this will be on my list of things to try. Maybe I will puree a little banana and cashew mixture.

If you can get hold of Artisana's Cacao Bliss (or make your own version of it!), try splitting a banana in half lengthways, spreading Cacao Bliss inside & sandwiching the two halves back together, then devour. Soooo good.

i LOVE bananas / apples with nut butter mmmmmmmmmmm actually my fav thing to eat right now,

although, come to think of it.... sometimes i go through 2 tubs of whole earth peanut butter in one week - thats 680grams of peanut butter!

do you think thats too much? i know its good for protein but could it be too much fat? could i gain weight?

i am 5.11 and weigh 60kg so healthy weight , i eat all healthy foods

    thanks for any feedback x

I love pnb as well (something healthy that tastes like its not!!).
680 grams is about 4000 Calories and 60 Grams of Saturated Fat. The "Average" male needs about 2500 Cals a day/17500 a week and no more than 30 grams sat fat a day or 210 grams a week (2000/14000 cals, 20/140 satfat for an "Average" female) so IMO its a lot of calories and fat from one food source, I would be tempted to cut down a bit and try different things instead - different nuts/seeds have different health benefits so you could try cashew, almond, hazelnut, brazil nut butters.

    http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Goodfood/...rated-fat.aspx - sat fat link
    http://www.fitandtrim.co.uk/calorie.html - calorie link

PS - One of the things I like to do is get choc chip pnb, slice an banana diagonally into 2 long pieces, fill it with pnb, cut into bite sized chunks, wrap individually in cling film and freeze for a healthy cold snack on hot days.

i usually go through 1 jar of peanut butter a week, so i think thats okay, because i dont eat a lot of other high calorie or high fat foods...

its only the rare few occasions ive had 2 in a week!

    its just soooooooo goood

i also love cashew butter but ive not had it in monthsssss!

There is no such thing as too much peanut butter! Anytime, anywhere. Ever. Look it up, it's in the official 'Can't get too much of a good thing' publication. C 1664. I love it when this thread comes up, gotta be in the running for best thread title on the boards.

Yep - I think its from a company called Kernal King, its sometimes in B&M bargains. Its pretty much identical to the one that Whole Earth used to make.
If you want choc peanut butter keep an eye out for the Peanut Butter & Co products (they can be hard to find in this country) White chocolate wonderful & Dark chocolate dreams are both great - you can also make your own
