I'm glad to see one comment on moo shoes. Just b/c I was curious. I ran across the website and there are quite a few that are just so cute. But they're kind of expensive. Any comments on actual quality ... b/c $70-$90 is kind of on the high side.

I paid around $70 for my shoes from Mooshoes, they are Vegetarian Shoes brand and I"ve had them for about 2 years now and still look decent. I wore them everyday during my pregnancy, they held up great. And my hiking boots are about 2 years old as well, not worn as much but are fantastic. The advantage of buying in the store is that I ended up exchanging the hiking boots since they didn't feel right after getting them home the first time.

    Default Mmmmm chocolate

Handmade and award winning chocolate from the sussex countryside. With UK shops in Brighton, Chichester and Windsor.

They say as a general rule they do not pay for advertising. Instead, they direct their 'advertising' budget towards other charitable work of interest.

For every Gourmet Gorilla and Orangutang bar they sell, they donate 10p to a host of hard working and desperately needy charities.

    Default Tummy rumbling

Combination of wholemeal and regular pastry, with a mix of sweetcorn & peppers over traditional potatoes, swede and onion. Derived from an old Andulucian tapas recipe, with spiced swede and sultanas. Potatoes, swede and onion, handlaid in the traditional method, sprinkled with mixed herbs. Chopped spinach handlaid over potatoes, swede and onion, seasoned with salt & pepper..."The Popeye".

Wonderful thread! I adore shopping online. Here is where I get vitamins for my family (they've got great chewable ones for kids).

    Freeda

Plus, if you spend $100 or more they offer free shipping. I get about 8 months supply for hubby, me & our two kids for that much, which turns out to be quite cheap overall!

www.rosemaryshealthfoods.co.uk do a lot of Vegan vitamins and supplements - their own and other brands (some NOT Vegan).
They are very reliable, it's easy to find the Vegan supplements on their site, and delivery is cheap and fast.

Saw this advertised in the latest copy of 'The Vegetarian' yesterday. Thought it might be of interest. It isn't due to open until April, but if you complete the survey you could win a Ł100 M&S voucher. Now why anyone would want one of those is anybodys business, but it would be good to have an online cruelty free fashion store.

VitaGlo has a lot of discount vegan products for cheap. Some of the brands I've ordered from them are Jason, Aubrey, Avalon, Kiss My Face, Tom's of Maine & Clearly Natural. They also have clif & luna bars, ecco bella cosmetics & veglife supplements. I'm sure there's quite a bit more that they carry, too. They have a list of all of the brands they carry on their home page.

Also, the shipping is free on a $50 or more total!

Would anybody be able to link me to somewhere I could get some tough non leather gauntlets (gloves) for handling rescue critters with challanging behavior? I've been using leather gardening gloves/ gauntlets up till now but if I could get hold of a vegan alternative that would be very useful.

You can order online at their website though I remember hearing that the shipping is expensive. Don't know if they ship to Canada. It's amazingly good, worth the money if you have it.

    Try www.healthy-eating.com.

They are located in Summertown, TN. Their order form says they ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands.

They have many dried staples TVP, flavored and unflavored, egg/cheese replacements, soups, Indian food, recipe books and a lot of other things.

    Good luck!

Default Vegecentric online store closing down

When I looked at the vegecentric site today, it appears they are closing down and this may be the last chance to get some of their merch. We sell alot of the badges etc thru ALV but I don't know who the supplier is...
Anyway if I had a bloody credit card I'd be buying up the Black "McDeath" t-shirts (even in my size) but I don't so I'm telling youse.

    In Canada : www.downbound.com

"The name Downbound signifies an ideological movement down the corporate ladder, down the food chain, and down to earth. Globalization policies, corporate power, and consumer complicity all contribute to a world that seems to ignore human rights, animal rights, the environment, and numerous other concerns. Downbound stands firmly in favour of alternatives to abusive labour conditions, animal exploitation, and environmentally unsustainable practices. All of our products are fair labour, vegan, and as environmentally friendly as possible. Downbound does the research and provides you with the detailed product information required to make educated and compassionate consumer decisions."

    I found this

Basically, if you live outside the US, and you want to order something online, these people give you a US address and then they forward it onto you. I haven't registered, so if it is crap, don't blame me!
