I like shoebuy.com for their large selection of vegan shoes. They carry the synthetic New Balance sneakers that everyone seems to talk about, as well as Merrell's entire collection of vegan shoes. Just go to http://www.shoebuy.com and type in "vegan" in the advanced search box on the left side of the homepage and it will list all the vegan shoes on the site. Happy shopping!

(PS: here are the search results: http://www.shoebuy.com/sb/s.jsp?Sear...&viewAll=descs)

The bags on this website are really nice but I don't understand the current trend for carrying huge great ugly suitcases that pass as handbags. Not very feminine or attractive. Balenciaga Lariat...what's that all about. I don't understand young people these days

Anyone know where they sell their stuff in brighton or london area at all? Probably can't afford it but a girl can go and drool.

I came across this online shop this evening.

It seems to be primarily vegan toiletries (homemade too, I believe). They are also based in the UK (I am assuming as they price everything in British Pounds).

You all probably know about the company Bboheme, but I thought I would post their url for any new vegans (or for anyone that was not aware of them)! I've found them to be super efficient and very friendly, oh and I love their merchandise even though my credit card doesn't

    Thanks for the link!

Also, I was in Lush the other day and 75% of their products are vegan. They are meant to be marked with a green dot but that's a bit hit and miss depending on the shop. However, their paper/magazine Lush Times has all the vegan products marked.

Just wondering if anyone here has ordered stuff from Herbivore from the UK? Can you just send well concealed cash (I don't have Paypal) etc? I've wanted to order a couple magazines for a while now. They don't do overseas subscriptions unfortunately.

A little bit of research and you'll see that downbound.com is terribly over-priced to the point of being a rip-off. naturalnirvana.com, rawganique.com, hempshak.com are but a few of many sites that offer better and fair pricing.

    Hi All
Im new to this site, thanks for all the great tips and threads

Has anyone tried http://www.innocentoils.com they are a small friendly business based in Suffolk UK, producing handblended Balms and Oils without the use of Petrochemicals, Parabens or any other nasties for that matter. They specialise in Hemp Seed Oil which is the main constituent in all their products because of its effectiveness against Eczema.

99% products are vegan but any balm that contains beeswax can be made without if requested. I know this because I asked and they were really helpful and were happy blend the Soothing Balm I had asked for without the beeswax.
Delivery was quick and have had it about two weeks now. Its gorgeous n good for you, smells fab, all genuinely natural.

Oo sorry Ive gone on a bit Its just good to come across a company that cares about the consumer and not just profits.

My brother and his finace live in Sydney, Australia and I was thinking about purchasing them some vegan goodies/vegan gift basket on line, for Christmas.

They're not vegan or even vegetarian, but I thought this would be a great way to introduce them to some tasty vegan treats

Can any of you Aussies recommend a good Aussie vegan shopping site? I want it to be a site within Australia, as I'm not paying overseas shipping rates.

    Thanks in advance!!

I am the founder and owner of Downbound.com, the company that "aokelly" above suggests is over-priced. I would first like to say that "aokelly" is not who he/she says she is. She claims to be located in the Carolinas, but her emails are IP stamped as coming from Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. "Aokelly" first appeared online in January 2006, and since then has ONLY posted items related to Downbound.com. He/she has made a long-term campaign out of using forums like this to post "warnings" about Downbound. I suspect that "aokelly" is either a competitor or someone who for some reason has a personal vendetta. He/she has not acknowledged my attempts to communicate with him/her via email, to attempt to find a solution to his/her perceived issues with Downbound.

As for the claims made about Downbound's prices, I fully agree that people should check around before buying. Downbound's prices are actually very competitive. The few products that "aokelly" references are taken in isolation from over 500 products that we carry. I am very aware of what all of Downbound's competitor's charge, and I do not feel in any way that Downbound overcharges for anything. Our mark-ups are very commensurate with industry standards, and our profit margins are slim. My main priority is making it easy for consumers to find otherwise hard-to-find vegan, fair labor, and organic products.

Thank you for this opportunity to share. If you or any of your readers have any questions whatsoever, I can be reached directly at adam.wilson@downbound.com or 416-890-4844.

    Sincerely,

    Adam

    Lightbulb New Vegan- Need food!!

    Heya

I am a new vegan, and am a little stuck on where are and where arn't good places to shop.
Don't worry, I eat lots of fruit, veg, pulses, grains etc, but like us all, snack food and things out of packs do come in handy.

Does anyone know of any good online shops (UK only) which do good products and are safe sites to use?

I do have a Tesco nearish, and co-op are about to open, who label there wine, YEAH! but still the selections aren't great.

    Thanks

The veganstore (www.veganstore.co.uk )has lots of rather addictive things, or there's goodness direct.

I've been eating more snacky things recently due to moving house and currently having no kitchen My quick fixes from the Tesco up the road are Trufree quicksnacks in pots, sammy's organic couscous (nice flavours, and can be microwaved - handy when there's no oven), hummous and raw veg, rice cakes with tartex pate and various bars, like the nakd ones.

Hi Smiles, welcome to the forum

I use www.goodnessdirect.co.uk for a lot of my food shopping and toiletries. The downside is the delivery charges are quite high especially as if you want something chilled or frozen you need to order at least six them for them to deliver BUT apart from that they are very good and they do a vegan section as well as cater for specifc allergies.

What exactly are you after? There's a whole slew of threads on different supermarkets and their strengths and shortcomings on here - try the search or local forums. There are quite a number of places to get things online as well, but it'd help to know exactly what you're craving
