    Default Vegan Egg Substitute

Fall is upon us! What better time to pull out that dusty muffin pan and the old oven mitts and begin baking hearty warm treats!? There is nothing better than captivating each and every heart by the welcoming smell of fall harvest snacks baking in the oven on a chilly day.
Let's not forget the silly line my friends (and I'm sure most of yours) always have, while assuming everything made without dairy is going to be bitter and awful; "Wow, I can't believe this is vegan?!!!"

    I love it.

This year I'm hoping to step into some new recipes, but I could use your help! I have had some bad experiences with making my own egg substitutes in the past and am quite curious what the best substitute for baking breads and pies would be?

    Thanks

It really depends on the recipe. Often I don't use a substitute at all (for things like muffins, say, where there's only one egg in the recipe to begin with.)

If you want to post any recipes you're thinking of, I can tell you what I would do. My baking isn't always perfect but it usually comes out alright.

I'm probably being stupidly English...or just stupid perhaps ... but breads and pies don't usually have eggs in them, do they? So surely no substitutes needed?
