Default Change in taste when going back to cooked food

Has anyone eaten loads of raw then gone back to eating something they ate before that wasn't raw, and thought it wasn't so appealing? I guess that happened to me last week

Medium oatmeal or some other carbohydrate. Not as bad as sweets, chocolate, etc. I also had some other oats yesterday. I guess my body wasn't happy with that too and I had diahorrea, although could be from something else. I read in Living Foods for Radiant Health, that someone vomited after eating something with flour after their body rejecting it and they had been raw or it was something like that. I guess if I eat raw foods that I normally had cooked, I will eventually like the taste of them and my body will get used to raw foods. People normally have bananas raw, but I guess that if no-one ate them raw then ate them raw, they wouldn't like the texture and taste to start off with. I've been eating raw potatoes!

I was looking on The Internet and it mentioned about people using them. I guess I was a bit wary. What is bad about them, do you think?

potatoes are a member of the Solanacae which is a plant family known to have solanine (tomatoes, eggplant and deadly nightshade are in the same category). Solanine is a potentially toxic alkaloid. It tends to be at its highest concentration of any green parts of the potato, but not necessarily. cooking destroys the solanine.

    Hahaha, you are nuts!

Raw potatoes aren't actually toxic unless they have that green colouring on them that you sometimes see, as Gorilla says it contains highly toxic levels of solanine which can lead to gastro-intestinal, liver, as well as heart damage.

Never heard of a luna bar. What is it?

I don't understand why raw potatoes are bad, but never heard anything bad about carrots, etc

I've decided to go raw for the first 7 days of every month. I've always wanted to go raw - but not for good - so this is a perfect solution for me. Considering it's the 1st of Jan, this is day 1 of my 7 day raw food diet for this month. I don't know how my body will react to eating cooked food again, but we'll soon find out! lol.

A Luna bar is mostly raw snack bar sold in the USA.

I explained above why raw potatoes can be bad, basically stay away from the potatoes with the slight green colouration.

    No, cooking destroys it.

I discovered recently that I liked eating tomatoes raw on their own. I guess I wouldn't of liked that a while ago

id estimate i eat around 80% raw , just how i like it , its more the additional bits i have , mostly ear raw veg and fruit but soy yoghurt/milk/tofu / rice cakes / tahini/nut butter stuff too.

I did 100% raw for a few months a2 years ago , was great for a while but eventually it drains your energy i think and you just want to sleep .
plus i lost weight when i was already underweight and just couldnt keep it on .

Anyhow what i wanted to say was i do sometimes have a big plate of steamed veggies with tofu and i find it also gives me bad diarehaa , my body i think is very used to the majority of things being raw it objects when everything is given at one time to being cooked!??? !

maybe if i kept it up for a length at a time my body would be ok with it but even after 3 days i can feel myself craving a large raw salad plate
