If you haven't already done so, click the user control panel link and click on group memberships, then join the UK meet ups thread and you'll be able to find threads (incl. photo's) of all the past Bristol vegan fayres.

Well the entertainment is looking pretty poor at the moment. Still, there's time for that to change.

I wonder if there are any places we could rent in a self-catering kinda way? I bet it would be fun to do a holiday cottage in a group of VF peeps!

if you want cheap go for the Travelodges or Premier Inn. you can go for the option without breakfast and eat out at a cafe instead. there are only a couple of vegan-friendly B&Bs and they're expensive.

I think Guidosol should get in there, bubbles and all.

I am a virtual instrument designer, producer and bassist. I have done sessions with all sorts of "super exciting" types over the years including Paul Young, Brand X (without Phil Collins), Zodiac Mindwarp (a top 20 hit!), amongst others.
These days I produce sample libraries, mostly, including the recordings for Audio Impressions DVZ Strings.
I used to be a horsedrawn traveller known as Horsey Paul until someone stole my horse many years ago, hence the name.

This is the first Brighton Vegan Fayre but run by the same people that organise the Bristol Vegan Fayre. If it's anything like that then it will be a great day out

There are two threads on the forum with details on and they can be found here:

Two young n' funky bands that will jive the vibe!

    Headliners will be announced soon.

I didn't know that any of them were vegan but they do still play house/ squat shows, so maybe they would be up for playing the fest.

I haven't been about much recently so haven't heard much chit chat about the Fayre. Really lookin forward to it, does anyone have any idea how it's being received in Brighton?

It's a big ol' venue and it would be wicked if it gets filled

I had so much fun! There were so many amazing things that I wanted to buy, but managed to restrict myself to a Secret Society of Vegans hoodie, some bags of sweets and white chocolate buttons. I definitely ate £8 worth of samples!!
Was so impressed with the Sheese stand; I never knew how delicious the cream cheese was! Especially on digestives with jam

I really liked these too! ...though the look on my boyf's face (he's vegetarian and not the world's biggest fan of sheese) was hilarious- if there weren't so many people around he would have squealed "Ewwwwwww!". Haha.

I went to a couple of talks- Vegan Soc. and Viva, and I was sad to see there weren't that many people in there. Though I guess what they had to say wasn't anything all that new to long-time vegans.

I got a SSOV tshirt too Plus some of the Mexican cream sheeze and some hemp oil. Had a vegan trifle and a chocolate muffin. Had lunch at the veggie place in Sydney Street. Nice day out. Though with lunch, the parking and buying mothers day presents, it was an expensive day out!

It was a good do, loads of great stalls and we had a good chat with various local organisations. Sadly neither of us could stay for the evening dinner as we already had a long term commitment for that evening but at least we met the lovely Gorilla and Zero on our way round. Don't know where Frank, Jamie etc were hiding, we didn't see them - probably dahn the pub
Many thanks to Ruby Rose also for sending us tickets or we wouldn't have been able to go
