ah i see, i knew i'd never seen any in the UK. we do unfortunately have 'non-dairy' cheeses with casein in them though.

i saw this when i opened my new tub of pure last night - my friend thought my excitement was hysterical. i would really love a cream cheese that i don't have to travel miles to pick up though, which is what i would have to do now my little local place has been credit crunched. would be great if i could grab in the supermarket...

Great news, let's hope this is tasty.
Looks like Pure are trying to, errrr, spread the word about vegan food!
Mind if I throw up Marjorie for that last post?

This is fab news can't wait to try the new products. Also just looked on their website there are lots of tasty looking recipe's!
Oh No! Thanks for the warning!
I've seen these pure cheese thingies on our chill order list so expect them to be in Sainsbury's in the next few weeks. I'll see if I can get a sneak peak before they go out on shelf!
The taste of anything in my mouth for 5 seconds does not equate to the beauty and complexity of life.
I just got that you were talking about the recipes.
Have looked now and seen so have sent them an email, telling them to modify the recipe/ take off the vegan tick for those containing honey.

Nope!

I'm waiting with bated breath for the cheese trianges!
That's better than cheese breath

i know i cant wait for the triangles either
i keep looking everytime i go in sainsburys, think i might scream when they are there, i just hope they keep stocking them because the sainsburys by me had the smoky sheese and i dont think anyone was buying it so they dont stock it in the one by me anymore
I would have thought that if they were placing info in with the margarine then the product was developed and ready to go, unless they were simply trying to gauge the demand for it before investing too much in its development. I'd have thought the excitement I've seen here would be sufficient demand to spur them on a bit!
The buggers are teasing us with these 'coming soon' adverts!
We can already get cheese slices (which is great), so it's the triangles that I'll be interested in sampling.
I'm hoping they won't be too expensive, especially since Pure is reasonably priced. I expect they'll be fairly dear at first, but the price will drop later if they're a success.

I laughed so much I nealy fell off the bed! It's so simple yet effective!

Grrrrr. The organic version still has palm.

Apparently PURE are working towards a sustainable Palm Oil source
Is it bad that I check this thread almost daily to see if anyone has been able to get the cheese triangles yet :/
^ It's vegan, but some people avoid it for other reasons

LOL just got excited again
I get them in my health food shop in Belfast MaisiePaisie!
They are super melting too and are great for making 'cheese' on toast!
They usually keep them right beside the blocks of Cheezly in the chilled cabinets.

Thanks zero for that info. Good to know. But I'm wondering if palm oil (or anything cultivated in a rainforest) is ever sustainable. It just seems impossible. I'm still checking into it though.
Ty Risker for even bringing them up!

i don't care whether the slices taste like dairy cheese - i never liked dairy cheese slices either - i just don't want them to make me feel like vomiting when they get within six inches of my nose! i've never sampled Ford Fiesta floor mats so i'll take your word for that.
i'm glad someone agrees with me! Cheezly slices seem to be very hard to find down here so i always have to buy the blocks.
