I'm a bit new here, so apologies if this would be better suited to being in a recipes forum!
I don't know if this is common knowledge, I discovered this by accident, but it's done me very well so far. Hope it's of use to anyone with a thing for cheese on toast.
I always found that cheese on toast, or cheese toasties with Cheezely super-melting come out quite dry, and because it took so long to melt to my liking, the toast would end up burning.
Mixing up grated 'cheese' with a bit of vegan marg and spreading it on the bread instead of putting the cheese straight on works wonders and gets the texture just right. A bit of crushed garlic and black pepper in with it puts a big smile on my face too.
This works fine with cheese on toast under the grill, or in a sandwich toaster. Just be careful not to add too much marg, or it can get a bit oily, it's by no means an exact science, so it might take some experimentation to get it just right, I can't really tell if there's different oil contents in different flavours or brands which makes a difference.
