    Default Wholefood Planet in Norwich

I assume quite a few people have heard of Daily Bread in Northampton and in Cambridge? Well, looks like Norwich has now got one of a sort: http://www.wholefoodplanet.com/ and http://www.socialfirms.co.uk/index.php/Section124.html

I'm going to visit it after work today. I'll report back on what it's like. Anybody else been yet?

Wow I never knew this existed! I only drove past the site today.

Will definitely be checking this out on Friday when I get paid

    Thanks Pusskins

As yet, there isn't a lot there, but they only opened in January, so early days! A cafe will be opening in there sometime soon. They don't have chillers yet, either. However, they do have a good range so far, and stock a few local goods. LOTS of Suma stuff. Very friendly lady we spoke too. She said that they will be getting in a wider range and will be selling their own bagged goods soon, like in Daily Bread

That's good, it will be nice to have somewhere locally like that. Rainbow is very good too but it's a bit of a pain to get into the city sometimes. How I've avoided a parking ticket thus far I'll never know.
Sounds like it's going to be a really good place.

Went there yesterday, I have to admit I was expecting it to be bigger, but I'm definitely not complaining! The people there are very nice and it's nearer to me than Rainbow Wholefoods is.

Yes, I think (hope!) they're expecting it to be 'bigger'. Their stock is definitely going to increase. We're probably going to be popping there again tonight to pick up some bits and pieces.

Well, unfortunately, this place is now closed. We headed there at the weekend, and walked in, and 2 official-looking blokes with clipboards asked us "Are you here to shop?". We said yes, and he said that the place was now closed. They were here to "administrate" and had just got the phone-call that morning!

Such a shame - but it did have odd opening hours and was out of the city in an odd industrial warehouse area. I know the one in Cambridge is the same, but this one just...didn't seem to work.

    Oh well.

    Oh no!!

I used to go in there occasionally, it did usually look pretty quiet in there. That is such a shame, I thought that as they seemed to be increasing their range and the coffee bit was up and running that it was going to be a success.

Thats a shame as the staff were great. I've used the shop on and off for the last year but guessed this would happen. If they had got the chillers and local produce in straight away I'm sure things would have been different.
