Bleurgh, you can't combine salad and chips. That's far too healthy .

I like chips w/ tomato sauce or Plamil mayo or a particular brand of herby bbq sauce or just with salt, yum

I was talking to someone about you guys today and the crazy things you put on "chips". Apparently he's been to Europe and tried your concoctions (vinegar, mayo, etc) and thought it was great. Maybe it's time I started experimenting.

Yeah! Jump on the crazy chip-accompaniment bandwagon, DiaShel! You'll love it
But just steer clear of chips with jam, that's just plain weird
No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway.
tortilla chips with .... pineapple, peach, and/or mango salsa
and when i'm having friends over, i make this ...
home made waffle cut chips (baked) dipped halfway in vegan chocolate topped with dried apricots & cranberries with toasted nuts (cashews & pecans) tossed with sugar in the raw ... than garnish with maldon sea salt
it is soooo good!!
I like vinegary hot pepper juice and loads of salt!
I also like ketchup.
My fiance puts minced garlic and/or lemon juice on his.

Salad and chips is nice. I'm sure it has been scientifically proven that eating salad with chips cancels out the calories.[/quote]
so veggie burger and chips is a neutral dinner?
I was raised having fries/chips and vegetables and I still try to have a salad of open up a can of mixed vegetables or whatever. A meal is incomplete without vegetables. I like my chips with vegan mayonnaise. There are different brands and I like Bruno Fischer best. I also like them with sweet chilli sauce, peanut sauce or curried ketchup. Any chips shop here in the Netherlands (and the country is littered with them) has peanut sauce, mayonnaise, curried ketchup, garlic sauce and sometimes apple sauce as sauce options.
Mushy peas...heaven on a plate.
Ohhh I am seriously hungover right now and I could go some chips and mushy peas
Reggae Reggae ketchup
Reggae Reggae barbeque sauce
Mushy peas
Ice cream (vegan)
Baked beans
I don't eat chips too often cos I feel all guilty, but when I was at high school (vegetarian but not yet vegan), I seem to remember starting a craze for chips 'n' cheese. Have now translated this into chips 'n' mozzarella-style-cheezley.
Also, like to have tomato ketchup and Mayola, one blob on each side of the plate, so I can choose for each individual chip!!!!
Ohhh, I have just remembered the chip butties I used to have when I was in Sixth Form, from the Chinese takeaway down the road. Heaven in a bread-roll!!!!!!! Mmmmmmmmmm
Chips (fries) with sweet'n'sour sauce!!!!
Peace, love, and happiness.
I had it today, Amys Chili and Better Than Cream Cheese!
salt and vinegar *drool* I took a bottle with me from London when I was there, yummy. Ppl here think it's very strange though..
Used to love chips and cheese - I just can't veganize it, tried cheezly, nutritional yeast sauce, cashew dip... but no.
Ideas anyone? =)
Chips with Clearspring's organic umo plum vinegar.
In two slices of soft bread spread with margerine.
Too much.
Lots of salt and vinegar, brown sauce, curry sauce, mushy peas (with added Hendersons relish < Yorkshires finest!), reggae reggae bbq sauce, sweet and sour sauce. Things I like but don't often have are sweet chilli sauce, gravy, cheeze and finally hummous, I need to rectify this!. I like ketchup, mayo and beans but I tend to find them a bit boring really.
Can't beat good old Heinz Ketchup yummy! Oh, and a bit of mayo and chilli sauce in addition but still the BEST with ketchup! Why mess with perfection?!
Ha Ha! That is easily the most Irish thing I've ever seen posted on this forum. Anyone who's ever been to Ireland and has been in a supermacs after about three o clock in the morning on a saturday night will have seen people literally KILLING each other for these things. God before I turned vegan I ate them by the bucket...Garlic cheezers...that's chips with garlic mayonnaise and cheese (...drools at the thought...) Nothing beats it...nothing.
Todays empires, tomorrows ashes...
A vegan version of that wouldn't be too hard. Definitely sounds like drunk food though!
