Default sweet and salty chocolate bars

this is a nigella recipe that i veganised and it's sooooooooo yummy so thought i'd share:
    300g dark choc
    125g marg (instead of butter)
    3 x 15mls tablespoons golden syrup
    250g salted peanuts
150g cinder toffee (Instead of crunchie bars)
line tin with foil, melt choc, marg and syrup, then add peanuts and cinder toffee (broken up) pour into tin and cool (4 hours in fridge)

i can't stop making/eating it, will be the size of a house soon.........

That sounds like it would make a good base for a cheesecake, 'cos you know, it wasn't fattening enough to begin with . Thanks for the recipe.

How hard does it set up? do you have to keep it in the fridge once it's set? sounds good!

It's also known as honeycomb (though there's no honey in it). Basically make some toffee and add bicarbonate of soda so it gets lots of tiny air bubbles in it

Also known as sponge toffee apparently - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sponge_toffee

Thanks, twinkle. I have never heard of it, I have to check if I can get it somewhere in my country. Maybe there is a Norwegian name for it.

I think it's pretty easy to make, I remember my mum making some when I was a child.
