    Default Blue Sheese recipes?

the other day I bought a packet of blue sheese. Some people say it's nice to eat plain, but even if it is, I'll never finish the packet in 10 days. I was wondering if anyone had any recipes I could use it in?

So far all I can come up with is stuffed mushrooms.

Mmmmm...bleu sheese. Bleu cheese dressing used to be my favorite. Crumble it up and have it on a salad.

I like it on crackers with pickle or in a nice ploughmans sandwich, as long as you keep it in an air tight container it'll last for ages, much longer than 10 days.

sos risker but posting your answer! It's a doorstop of a piece of cheese, a bit of salad and pickle. They do a ploughmans salad too!

Mines usually scheese (grated or sliced), salad and pickle (English pickle) in a crusty baguette or granary bread.

Sorry VW forget you are not from the UK. A 'doorstop' is just a word we use meaning a large wedge God knows why?! Usually it's a large wedge of cheese, a bit of salad, pickle and 'doorstop' *large wedge* of crusty bread like a French Baguette or other crusty loaf.

Never had one personally even when I ate cheese as the thought of doorstop cheese knocked me sick. *shudders* just too much!

    thanks for the idea, everyone
It doesn't taste like real blue cheese, but it does smell like it! Even my (omni) mother agreed it smelt just like the real deal.
Tastewise, it isn't a bad taste, just a bit dull. But it was great mashed into a baked sweet potato, and I even dared try it on a pizza, and it worked great.
