How much B12 so you have per week?

I get mine mainly from Alpro milk which has 0.5 mcg per 100ml and I have between 250-500ml of that 5-6 days a week - a bit less on other day.

On the pack it says that 250ml of this is 125% (1.25mcg) of your daily B12.

BUt i've just read somewhere else that you need 1000mcg per week (which is 142.85mcg per day) which leaves me well short. Can this be right?

Which info is the right one please? anyone know??

Well I think it's all down to how frequently you take B12. The Vegan Society states that recommended intakes are based on a 50% absorption rate. So if you take one 1000mcg tablet per week, only half of that will be absorbed so you need a higher dose. You appear to be taking the correct amount if you are ingesting little and often, as more B12 overall will be absorbed.

I will not eat anything that walks, swims, flies, runs, skips, hops or crawls.

I bought some sublingual tablets a while ago; each contains 2000mcg of B12 and the pack says to take one per day

I normally take one a couple of times a week
