Thumbs up A Vegan Bake Sale

    Hi Guys,

After practicing quite a few recipes just to make sure I can pull this off reasonably well, I've decided to go for it and offer a free Vegan Bake Table at our local holiday craft fair. Along with the free treats, I'll be displaying some thoughtful pamphlets in the hopes one or two will be read and considered. *crosses fingers*

Has anyone out there done this? Any experiences or advice you'd like to share? I'll take good wishes too, as I'm doing this solo and will need all the luck I can get!

    Thanks.

    Hi SIA,

In June there was the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale which we participated in. I asked 2 others to organise with me so that we would have more than one person at the stall, but going solo should be fine depending on how big the event is and how much you plan to sell.

Make sure you get the word out via blogs, twitter, online forums and posters in your area so that vegans know where you'll be and at what time.

We have met a lot of new vegans and everyone has been very supportive as we donate all of our proceeds to an animal-based charity.

Plan to bake all your stuff the day before and then the morning of you'll just have to pack it all up and transport it to the fair. If it's outdoors make sure you get some sort of cover for shade/rain.

Good luck, I am sure it will go really well!

Thank you for the tips and the well wishes. Fortunately, this will be indoors, so I won't have to worry about weather. (If it were outdoors, I'd flat out refuse to do it, as it'll be December in Chicago. )

So far, I've perfected two cookie recipes. I'm currently working on brownies, and I hope to try mini-doughnuts. Oh, I hope those work out! They're so cute.
