Penn State students are designing and building a sustainable, solar powered, and sensible home that they will present at this years Solar Decathlon competition in Washington D.C. This dynamic group is setting out to show through their own innovations and hard work that Solar power is not "space age" or out of reach to the average consumer. The solar decathon competition will happen in October of 2009. Penn State's Natural Fusion team will be one of twenty colleges and universities invited to present their solar energy showcase homes on the national mall.

After spending well over a year designing and building the home Penn State team will move the home to the Solar Village in Washington for the competition in October, where it will then compete in a series of 10 events to determine the best solar powered home.
