I found an interview of Donald Watson on Vegan Means. Watson grew up on a small family farm, and, apparently, animals squealed at slaughter even before factory farming. Surprising, isn't it?

I love this interview. He must have been such a great person.
I particularly like how he refers to that farm, which I suppose nowdays would be called 'humane' or something, to a death row,
I actually raised this point with a friend who was telling me how fairly her grandfather treated his animals on his farm, but I don't think it struck a chord - and mind you, she is a great cat lover and very sensitive about animals' needs. But in her mind offering an animal food and safety in exchange for its life is just quid pro quo.where every creature's days were numbered by the point at which it was no longer of service to human beings
What a wonderful man. I would not like to have witnessed the things he did growing up. I would have loved to have met him.
I like Sandra, she keeps making me giggle. Daft little lady - Frosty
That would have been nice. (Thinking: Too bad this idea never was materialized...)
I will not eat anything that walks, swims, flies, runs, skips, hops or crawls.
That would have been a fascinating interview Korn, it is a pity it never happened.

That would have been excellent. What a wonderful man, not read it all yet (as 25 pages) but printed it to read later and keep.
