Hey there! I took an overall health exam and I passed well, however I noticed that my GFR was a bit low (very much in fact) compared to the "average" person. I looked it up and I was scared that I was starting to get borderline kidney failure... Then I read more information about how vegetarians and especially vegans often have much lower GFR compared to meat eaters on account of their lower protein intake. So our kidneys don't work nearly as much filtering our the excess protein as usually there's not much "excess" to begin with. Am I on to something?

Anybody out there heard of this or had this experience?

It's a sort of 'proof' I guess that vegans are a bit different physically....
