This is going to sound disgusting, but it's really yummy (even people that aren't vegan or health conscious loved this).
You blend a soft avocado; a banana; and one clove of garlic.
It comes out like a whipped guacomole and you can put it over greens or dip carrots/chips in it.
It's so filling and a great way to get your greens if you are bored with salad dressings.

but onion-free is slightly more of a challenge. You could try Googling for Jain recipes as they are vegetarians who don't use onions or garlic (or eggs I don't think); they do sometimes use dairy produce but you can easily substitute that.

No vegan cheese or tofutti at my health food store
I'm happy with straight up veggies.
