Default Dairy free speciality lacto-fermented vegan cheese

    Hi all,

Long time since I posted anything.
I just wanted to share the info that, as soon as they'll open their new shop on Caledonian Road near King's Cross, in London (which should be this coming Saturday), SSOV (the Secret Society of Vegans) will be stocking some new non dairy fresh cheese, fresh pates and fresh mayonnaise from a French company called Le Sojami.
The website shows what they look like and mentions that they are lacto-fermented using a vegan-friendly process. I have tried some myself and they are really yummy, taste really cheesy but without the synthetic flavours that the other brand use, which is good, as I have always felt guilty about eating vegan cheese because I know they are all unhealthy.

It also says that the company manufactures vegan products only, so that's a plus !

That's odd, it was working 5 minutes ago !

Maybe you should try later, don't know what's happening.

it is really good stuff. I got it from the health food shop near clapham junction (can't remember the name) a while back. Cheaper from Vx, though (£1.99).

I definitely think fermentation is the way to go if you want something that tastes as good and has that "real dairy taste/feel". Dairy cheese and dairy yogurts are fermented, so it's only common sense that good vegan alternatives should be fermented as well.
    Peace, love, and happiness.

By the way, they seem to be available in health shops now and even online from www.veggiestuff.com.
