Does anyone know any vegan restaurant near Staines?
I only know a vegetarian restaurant in Hounslow.
There are vegan restaurants in London but it's quite a journey from Staines.
Thanks

Not a vegan restaurant but have you seen this?

Might be good to phone first as that listing is a couple of years old.
I thought there might be some Indian veggie places round there as well but I can't find any references online.
Thanks a lot Harpy, I think I've seen this place few times but I didn't know it's vegegarian. I'm on my fasting day today so I will have to check it next week. I will let you know.
As per Indian places there is Roshni's which has some vegetarian and vegan plates but it's not purely vegetarian.
Momo isn't exclusively vegetarian either, I don't think, but that page says you can get some vegan food in there.
Good luck, and do let us know if you find anywhere nice
If it's not exclusively vegetarian I don't think I would trust them.
Probabably the only non vegetarian places I trust are Indian.
I was told ones in Chinese restaurant that the dish was vegetarian (I wasn't a vegan then) and when they brought it, it smelt of fish.
I didn't eat it. Since then I'm very, very carefull.
If I'm in not a vegetarian place I eat only salads, in which I can clearly see what's in
Have you been to Sagar's in Twickenham? If you get on the 'slow' train to London via Hounslow at Staines, it should stop at Twickenham.
It's 100% veggie, with lots of vegan stuff.

I've never been to this one. Usually we go to Indian Deli in Hounslow
I like Sagar very much though I haven't been to the Twickenham one. If you ask the waiters (at the ones I have been to), they'll give you a special vegan menu.
Is Indian Deli in Hounslow good then?
It depends what you like, but if you enjoy Indian food you should like it. The restaurant is vegetarian so you always have to ask which curries are vegan. I always go for buffet so I'm not sure how are their dishes from the menu. The buffet is quick, cheap and good, eat as much as you like
Must try and go there sometime then although Hounslow is a bit of a hike from here.
Sagar is a bit different from how that sounds: they do have some curries on the menu but they specialise in things like dhosas and uttapams. South Indian food, I think it is. This is their website http://www.gosagar.com/ - I don't see the Twickenham branch on there though so I hope it hasn't closed.
Menu seems to be interesting. I think if I ever visit them it will probably be in Covent Garden. Twickenham is never on my way
Yes the Covent Garden one is the one I usually go to - it stays open quite late most nights so is handy for a post-theatre meal (though if you're planning to go late it would be good to let them know in case they decide to close early!).
